Can anybody tell me why having multiple accounts for different regions are illegal? I'm just wondering.

my ps3 has 3 accounts, mine, my brothers and a guest one. bu they are all in the north american region so am i okay?:?

i find this very OD especially after reading a post on game spot where a man e-mailed sony complaining that the eu shop didnt have the demo's of the usa or japan and the basicaly told him to make a usa acount

so why would they investigate something they where telling people to do

If sony doesn't want multiple accounts they should work harder on releasing the same content for all stores. Seriously, how hard can it be?!

It doesn't hurt Sony at all for people to have multiple accounts, so this is bogus.

Now modded PS3 to allow for downloadable games does hurt Sony.

There's a gigantic difference. Anyone who ever thinks Sony would be upset about this is just dumb.

I have 4 accts. that are US. I also have a 5th one for HK, but I don't use it.

If only Sony can give us some way to delete our unwanted PSN IDs permanately.

this is COMPLETE B.S. - Sony is doing no such thing and will not persue anyone with mutiple accounts.

I have 3 accounts in 3 regions becasue I travel with my PS3 on business to the US, EU and Japan.

Also, it's been marketed as a region free game machine.

Thanks for fixing the link guys. I called Sony UK support 3 weeks ago to moan about our psn store only to be told by the support guy to make a USA account,hmm,if i get a ban i will blame them,. .unimpendium115

LOL... If this investigation is true, someone at Sony PS3 Call Centre will lose their job. :P
