I was reading in the Ps3 instruction manual that, "stacking discs at an angle can cause them to warp". What is warping, how does it happen, and what does it do to the game?

i assume that the disk would get permanently bent, with the possibility of becoming unplayable. Ive never had any of my disk "warp" tho, they just put that there as a precaution.
a warped disc will occure when u stack them on an angle at a hot or very warm temperature simular thing happens with canvases. when this happens the discs wont fit in the ps3 if its a extreme case or they will just simple mess up inside the ps3 like they wont be held in place or the laser will mess up on it. which is why they should use thermo setting polymer (plastic). P.S - warping can never be fixed unless you decide to melt down the plastic and remake the cd lol.(some attempts include applying heat and pressure onto the disc while on a flat surface over time)
Take it and stack all of those phone books on it and leave it there for a long long time! Btw put it in a paper sleve first and yur gonna need a lot ( a lot) of phone books.
You'll know if warping occurs because the game case itself will be the first to warp. If you'll notice signs of warping on the case. Relocate your game collections immediately to a cool dry place before it affects the game disk.
