If you haven't played Valkyria Chronicles, I'd recommend that. If you have, then Eternal Sonata is what you are looking for. It is a good game with bits of romance as well. :)
Eternal Sonata was good, but it was hard to finish. It didn't really keep my interest, mostly because the gameplay just got stale after a while. The story was good though. It was pretty much the only reason I finished the game. Apparently Valkyria Chronicles is amazing too, though, according to everyone here and lots of other people... might have to check it out. Too bad I can't find it cheaper than 55 bucks anywhere... :(
