Okay, a few days ago I was at a Games Party, and I brought my PS3 but couldn't use it on the HD TV in the main room. When I first tried to play it on the big screen, it wasn't as sharp as I expected. Being the non-technology-savvy person I am, someone else eventually told me that I needed a "HDMI" cable to see it in high-def. Upon some research, I now know what the cable is and does, however I am unsure whether a cable came with the PS3 when I bought it or if I need to go out and buy one myself. So here's my question: was a HDMI cable included with the PS3 when you bought it? If it helps, I got the Australian bundle which included Resistance, MotorStorm and an additional SIXAXIS controller (60g configuration).

Would you happen to know how much a HDMI cable costs? If in American dollars, that's ok, but preferably Aussie dollar. Thanks.

I've seen them anywhere from $39 to $99 US. No clue what that works out to in Australia.

They didn't ask which brand is the cheapest - they asked for a brand that's cheap.

To answer the question, Monoprice cables are inexpensive and high-quality. Not sure if they ship to Australia or not, but you may want to check them out (monoprice.com).

If you asked a person who is quite knowledged in this field(in this case he's called a geek lol), he would recommend you to go for the cheapt $10 ones. I have some experience while learning about these cable stuff before back when I was a noob at this subject, and turns out really the 10 dollar ones will get you the same quality as if you got the $70 ones, really there is no difference. Or at least the average person who just want to get over with these things, won't care to go nitty gritty and do a side-by-side comparison and pick out the difference in every little pixel. Seriously it makes no difference.

no an HDMI cable was never included, They should really think about adding an HDMI cable or atleast a Component Cable.

I would hope so. A High Def Gaming/Blu ray system and they don't offer an HD cable. Really stupid.
