Was there actually anyone who didn't like Uncharted?

So I'm planning on getting a PS3, and Uncharted seems to be one of the top-rated games. However, I'm still hesitant to commit to buying it, as it appears the game only takes 8 or so hours to get through, and I generally like to only purchase games with a lot of replayability. So is the game actually worth it? And, as the title of this thread says, is there anyone on these boards that doesn't like the game?

I like the game and I rented it a while ago. I would have bought it but it was 60 dollars when I wanted it so I just rented. If it was 30 dollars back then I would have probably bought it. All up to you. Its a good game.

Yes, it only take 8 hours to complete the story mode but it is so fun I played through the story mode at least 7 times. There is a lot of replay value for Uncharted (at least for me).

It's actually pretty fun to replay through the game again once it's done. For trophies and because it's a great game.

i'm not buying it until it get's a greatest hits label. it's nearly been out for 2 years and it has no reason to be a full priced game. I hate how games like uncharted and call of duty have really milked us this gen.

Yeah its only like 8-10 hours, but once you get into it youll just want to unlock the trophies, and get the unlockables like the costumes and big head mode, plus the game is just pure fun, just what we need. :)

Thought it was a good game. Not the best PS3 game I've played, but it's worth playing through. And yeah, I'd say it's a rental not a buy.

Are you sure that you played Uncharted: Drakes' Fortune? The game is nothing short of amazing. The gameplay is all around solid, and the graphics are nothing special? PLEASE! Uncharted features some of the best graphics this generation and it's been out since launch. I'll agree that the replay value is moderate, but it still worth playing through a second or even third time because there's plenty of unlockables.

the game is beautiful, fun, has u thinking outside the box for once, i am going to get Uncharted 2 the day of release, multipleyer was the only thing missing from the first one, lovethe game, finally a change in setting for once, a gam that doesnt take place outer space or on some destitute warehlouse or factory, a nice game that takes advantage of the outdoors

jaded much?

take it you haven't played any game released after 2007. Or maybe you just play on standard def. Go play Crysis and then we'll talk

as for the gameplay, when I shoot a guy in the head 5 times and he doesn't even flinch, thats not solid gameplay.

Uncharted doesn't look real, it looks good, and whether not even that is true is obective.

Gameplay - Good

Story - Bad

No, everyone and their mother loves this game. It's impossible for anyone to formulate their own opinion of the game other than one of pure love and joy.

Seriously though I didn't like it.

I do agree that Crysis is the better game if we were to compare the two though.

Nope. 52" HD Widescreen Flat Panel LCD LG running through HDMI cables. It's not top of the line, but it serves me just fine. I don't see the point in comparing a PC game to a console game. Biased much? Uncharted undoubtedly still features some of the most gorgeous graphics this generation, period! The game isn't meanto be a simulator, so shooting an enemy in the face 5 times before going down is just a challenge. The gameplay is in fact solid. It's not over complicated, but it's not too simplistic either and I rank that as solid because anyone can pick the game up and play without having a ridiculously overwhelming learning curve.

thats cuz its a pc game... a pc has more buttons, and better graphics.... uncharted had great gunplay imo, and slightly above average graphics compared to games that have come out the past year.... but the characte are the best looking ive seen on the ps3, also the story is engaging.,...

PC are upgradable in terms of processor's, graphics cards, sound cards, etc. whereas consoles are not. So put aside storage and a console is what it is and yet even so there are plenty of console games that can contend with some of the top rated PC games.

That's a bit fanboyish I know, but I just hate when people play the PC card.

That's a little closer to home, but it's not the same genre so I personally consider that argument null and void. Compare it to a game that's more of it's class.

Oh God! Sue me for getting it wrong. Big whoop I missed it by a year that's not the point. The point is that for a game that's a couple of years old it still features some of the best graphics to date.

1) it obviously isn't undoubtedly since people are doughting it.

2) PC counts in this generation, and if you look at the latest games they are graphically almost equal to consoles ( with the exception of crysis, and even then killzone wasn't to far off from it)

3) simulator or not, thats still bad design

4) to say that it has the best graphics of any game this generation means that either you haven't played many games, you are comparing it to 3rd party titles, or your just ignorant.

5) I never said it was a bad game, it's just not the holy grail of gaming that you are making it out to be. Judging by your posts and your need to defend the game, it's obvious that you are unable to offer an unbiased opinion when refering to this game.

I just didn't like the plot twist towards the end of the game, but the gameplay itself was a lot of fun.

The only other sour taste Uncharted gave me was that enemies took quite a few bullets to kill, and the fact that the game wouldn't work on my PS3 - it kept freezing on chapter 4; but I was able to finish the game playing on my friend's PS3.

 Yep, Scianix is right. I really didn't like Uncharted, though I did buy it a 2nd time in an attempt to try and enjoy the game, but I couldn't. Uncharted just wasn't a game for me, I suppose. :| Many like it, but I don't.

i beat this game in a week and haven't played it since. it has amazing graphics, a good story and decent gameplay, but there is little replay value with this game. i would rent it and just buy uncharted 2 when it comes out. the new one has multiplayer so you would be set with replay value

I liked it but its by no means the greatest game EVAR either. Its good but generic and there are other games that have been better while revolving around the same elements. That being said it is enjoyable and I'll likely be getting 2 when it comes out.

I didn't get on with it.. Not enough freedom in combat and/or plot..(linear andsequential)

Trouble is with everybody raving about how good it is I keep thinking I must have missed something!.

Loved Elder scrolls and Fallout3.. But not for there main plot lines.. ;-)

I thought it was pretty good, but I never understood why people rave over it like Halo. Sure, it's production values are really spectacular (Probably some of the best I've seen) and had beautiful graphics, but there wasn't really any originality. Plus it was way too short.

So yeah. Good game. Not amazing. Looking forward to Uncharted 2.

I think its a gr8 game. Im on my 2nd playthru atm (crushing mode trying for all trophies). I finished it once and didn't touch it for months but now ive started playing it again and im loving it. I think its worth the Platinum price tag, probably not the full $110 it was before it went plat tho.
