watch out HALO 3. . . WARHAWKS HERE!!!

warhawk is ok. I hope it can get better with future updates but its pretty good. Even though I AM NOT A HALO FAN, I don't think Warhawk can make a dent in Halo. A few games can but I don't thinkWarhawk is one of them.

You just said it yourself, Warhawk beats anything both consoles have as of this writing. Halo 3 ain't out yet so I don't think Warhawk can own Halo 3 just yet. Minus the 32 players online, halo 3 has everything warhawk has. It does have vehicles surprisingly, I think a banshee flies in the air. What are things that fly in the air? I think maybe those are aircraft. Does Warhawk have a easy to use match making system? Nope, I don't think so.

I'm no fanboy, own a 360 and PS3. I just hate when people try to compare two different kinds of games on two diffferent systems. I am a fanboy of FPS and shooters in general, what I'm not a fan of is Warhawk. The game definitely had ALOT of potential, but in the end it fell short. I was myself anticipating this game greatly and in the end was greatly dissappointed. Which everyone is entitled to their opinion so some people might enjoy this, I don't and never will. Now you simply can't compare this game with another one, Halo 3, that hasn't even come out yet. I did by the way play more games of the halo 3 beta than I have of warhawk so far.

this topic really should get locked why are we comparing two different game on two different hardwares. i mean unless you think all three current consoles are equal in everything they can do there is no way to fairly compare them.

you can compare warhawk to resistence or call of duty three i mean we do have other fps i don't see why we always have to go to the other consoles. personally im have a great time with warhawk right now

man I want warhawk. its coming out soon in the retail versionand I will get it. I never saw halo 3 as a must buy. its was a good game no doubt bt for me it was just another sci fi game where you souly had to save the world. I rather R6 vegas! warhawk will have better online play no doubt but people will still buy halo even if it is just another shooter. warhawk is different and pushes what the ps3 can do. halo is just a shooter haze will probably be better. anyway after the lair review I do not trust gamespot reviews. the player reviews are better so I will not jusat get halo because of a gamespot review. they will just give it a high score to please everyone, even if it was rubbish (which I know it wont be)NinjaMunkey01

I think this whole thread is kinda crazy. How do you compare warhawk, which is an online only dogfighting game, with halo 3 which is a FPS story mode & online multiplayer game? They are 2 different stills of game. Thats like saying watch out MGS 4, here comes saint's row, it makes no sense at all. Plus, lets all be realistic, by sept. 25 i'm more than sure the halo 3 will sell more copies in the 1 day than warhawk has sold up until that date. Halo 3 has nothing to worry about with warhawk takings it's shine.

Its not offering anything new. Battlefield is exactly the same; ok maybe battlefield is better. flying jets are a lot better in Warhawk though. Probably offering something new for a console i would say!

Yeah warhawk is good, but there has been a lot of research with the Bungie/Microsoft team into its playtesting. Thankgod Incognito did their beta phase or it wouldn't be as good as it is. Still we all know the quirkiness in warhawk when it comes to its server browsing. Having no matchmaking is a let down to me. I ONLY own a PS3, but still can see that halo 3 will turn out to be a very well balanced MP game (mostly being an H2 player way back). Still with all H3's vihicular abilities it may not quite match how well it is balanced as in its varied style that Warhawk has. H3 will have vehicles up the yin yang, but will it feel like taking a part of the effective battle in a game depending on which vehicle that you chose? Its a wait and see. There's a month left.l

All my fellow Warhawk players have to do is look at the ranked server and server joining issues. How many times today have you seen "Game Full" when joining a ranked room that says it has openings? Missing stats? Login errors? Right.

Warhawk could have used a Halo 2-type matchmaking solution or a Gears of War auto-search solution in the worst way. A Call of Duty 4 solution would have been perfect. But no, it's nowhere near as advanced as those designs. I guess its Incognito showing their newbishness when it comes to online play. Warhawk 2 will have better designed server browsing and match searchinig.

I mean how did they manage to put 40 players online without any lag!!? dreams your a fanboy, the only argument your making is that there is bad matching problems? that has nothing to do with gameplay really....and i dont think that you should make such big assumptions about halo 3 until you actually throw it in your 360 and finish the fight, who knows it might be a flop, ps3 owners can talk about warhawk because its out, but all 360 fanboys have been saying since the consoles release is that halo 3 will blow everything away, thats a pretty bold statement for a game that feels like a generic fps, plays like a generic fps, looks like a generic fps, and most definately has a the story line of a generic fps, so all in all halo 3 is a generic fps and warhawk shouldnt even be compared because its not generic in terms of gamplay like halo, ive said it before ill say it again halo is not the ultimate game series, its an ok at best game series that was in the right place at the right timelinkin_guy109

Call me whatever you want. I guess it's what will make you feel better. The online setup so far has been circa 2004 quality. In the end, I stated facts and one opinion. It's a FACT that Halo 3's online approach with matchmaking is superior to this antiquated approach. It's a FACT that CoD4's and Resistance online approaches work better. It's a FACT that Halo 3 will have superior customization options compared to Warhawk. It's an opinion that it will offer superior replayablity.

You should probably check my post count before branding me as anyone fanboy. I'm not a big Halo player either, but I can recognize what's done well and what isn't...even if it doesn't fit my personal taste. You...maybe you can't handle that. Oh well.

They managed 40 player online with no lag because they use *dedicated servers*. Incognito did follow the same path. I've seen next to no lag for Warhawk. And there are some issues that may be unfixable (like communication). It's solid and entertaining, but far from perfect.

halo really feels to generic for me, it was just an okay game that was in the right place at the right time, thats all, i defy the person who tries to argue that pointlinkin_guy109

I agree, Halo1 and 2 were like oasises in a desert showing up with nothing to go against them, i think there will be, and already is better on 360 right now...
