i just recently got a new dsl modem that has a wireless router built in it. but my ps3 is asking for the wep code wat is it and were will i find it. thanks for the help.
The WEP Code is a Wireless Protection to prevent people form stealing your internet basically. You should have it wirrten down or in some place to access it.
ummmm its your security set up thats what wep is, but whereever you can change your settings for your router which i cant understnad how you have a built in wireless router on your modem is where you would find it..built in are you sure
im not sure but it detects it. it says 2wire when my ps3 detects it and on the side of the modem it says 2wire. and when i scanned it with my psp when i was next to it i got 100% signal.
Enable your router to wireless mode (it might default as an "off" setting). You don't necessarily have to have a code, but it is a good idea if you are worried about folks stealing your bandwidth.
