True that. Tools of Destruction is phenomenal. I only got it like 2 weeks ago but it's one of the funnest experiences I've had while playing a game in years! I still don't understand how someone can give that game a 7.5 unless they knock it off as a kids game (it is but anyone can enjoy it)!
Actually... the main reason there hasn't been much hype for it is because the ToD got 7.5 so everyone must expect some bad sequel or something.

That's absurd. The game has a 89 average on Metacritic - it was very well-received, and everyone knows it. The world doesn't revolve around Gamespot. Anyway, I'm very hyped for this. The R&C series is one of my favorites. Day one buy.It does on System Wars. :P
Any person who remotely calls himself/herself a gamer, even a casual one shouldn't give two cents worth about fictional Internet "poison war" which is system wars or the general synonym fanboys rage about daily instead of enjoying their hobby and having fun time with friends and family. There are so many real life issues to deal with on daily basics and I find it absurd to fight over developer and companies who pretty much only care for one thing - profit from your money. Nothing more, nothing less.
I completely agree however, gaming world doesn't resolve around Gamespot, never did. The only reason why I have an account here for years now is because of PS3 forums which contains probably the most mature community I came across and I can sort and track games.
On a positive note, R&C deserves the hype around it, I truthfully enjoyed Tools of Destruction and recently re-played Quest for Booty PSN DLC. The series is more for family audience then anything else. I'm twenty-seven myself and I had nothing but fun time with the franchise.
Sometimes you need to get away from all the blood, gore and brutality majority of the games offer this days. Ratchet and Clank series is one of quality titles and shouldn't be missed by gamers. ;)
