We need Nirvana songs in GH3

Didn't like the Heart Shaped Box from GHII... it would be cool to have the original ones, not some lousy covers.

i want more technical stuff like slayer and dragonforce not wimpy little easy songs like nirvana please open your mind to the new stuff they are pushing the bar way higher in terms of technical riffs and drums

Get some underground stuff on GH3 and it would go from cool to exceptional. I'm tired of this trailer park rock that everyone thinks is the heaviest music ever. Get a grip. The Devil Wears Prada: Just came home from their concert, the pit was awesome, the music is even better, and they have some major talent. As Blood Runs Black is also an awesome band, I've seen them in concert and it's amazing. Get anything other than the mainstream BS that we've been forced to endure.

The Devil Wears Prada is not underground and their pits aren't awesome at all. Just a bunch of kids that all have the same haircut running around like d-bags doing some sweet karate moves. Please, don't act like you are some music guru because you totally tore up the righteous moshpit at a gimmicky Christian metalcore show. I believe you are the one who needs to get a grip.

I suppose you listen to BS like Nile, Children of Bodom, and Waking the Cadaver... ROFL. That kind of stuff is pure garbage. Now as far as gimmicks go... look at all of the grindcore bands, they all sound the same and use the same typeface on their cd's and merch. The Devil Wears Prada doesn't have the best pits but they're fun. Just because I didn't get my nose broken doesn't mean the pit sucked. You can't make any comment on As Blood Runs black, they were one of the best bands ever. Go listen to Amon Amarth or something.... hahahaha.

Also, I never called myself a "music guru", although I do listen to all kinds of music. You were the only one who used that term in this thread.

Back on topic... just get some new music out to GH3, and make it good, contemporary metalcore or heck, maybe some plain old metal.

I really wish I knew where you got the assumption that I listen to Nile, Children of Bodom, etc. I for one can tell you that I won't argue with the fact that those bands are "pure garbage." Real metalcore fans would laugh in your face if you told them you were a Devil Wears Prada fan. For a person who appears to hate mainstream, you should know that TDWP is about as mainstream as it gets in todays sad core scene. I'd be willing to bet you have never heard of or listened to bands such as 7 Angels 7 Plagues (innovators of "metalcore") and Misery Signals. It's also funny how you made a reference to bands using the same typeface on their cd's and merch. I just checked out some sweet shirts from the ever so generic As Blood Runs Black, and go figure, the font used on all of them is the same old "we are so metal" style of writing.

Now, since you were probably too busy doing black belt tai-kwon-do with all the cool scenesters, I advise you to go to Youtube (once you are done straightening your hair of course) and watch some live videos of the Devil Wears Prada and listen to just how piss poor it really sounds. Awful screaming, tone deaf clean vocals, and guitar work that isn't even close to matching CD quality.

Yea, my friend is playing Guitar Hero III. I must say, the song selection sucks. Real Bad. Most of the songs aren't even guitar oriented. My favorite band is the Smashing Pumpkins, and I can say for a fact that Cherub Rock was not meant for guitar hero. They have so many more guitar-oriented songs. And also, I'd love to see some songs by the origins of all popular guitar music today, such as the musician in my profile picture...haha that would be nearly impossible for the guys who make guitar hero to do, no slide on that plastic guitar, hahahaha.

But I think the idea of splitting the games up into genres is a good idea, but then again...the underground metal bands edition would sell as well as underground metal bands' albums, and the pop songs would sell like pop songs...catch my drift?

im sorry you just became the music guru so what i like bands that scream get over it i listen to the black dahlia murder(new album stunk by the way) but what gets me is how some metal people like you put down people because they listen to screamo. Some screamo bands have talent most do not i agree but ones like tdwp and norma jean have really good talent and it shows by their fans, so what they dont like to talk about killing and stuff like that. does that make them crap no they are driven by their faith. 7 Angels 7 Plagues... where do I begin? Most of their stuff sounds like it was recorded in a garage. I have friends who can master music better than that, and they aren't even signed to a label. As for their pits? Can't say much since the band is gone...

Misery Signals, I've heard of them plenty... They're actually pretty good, so I won't argue on them except for the sort of monotonous screams. Not much range. Otherwise, pretty solid.

As for being 14? Add about five more years on to that buddy. Besides, what does that have to do with my taste in music? I've seen kids around 11 or 12 at a Job For A Cowboy concert. Haha!

Now that, we can agree on. Although some screamo is actually pretty good, you are correct in saying that we never mentioned one screamo band in the entire topic.

Also, I've been to a show where Amon Amarth played... sadly :(. How do you even form a pit when that dude that has identity issues about being a viking and a beer gut with it's own gravity is belching out his lyrics? The pit was rather weak.

I agree with the guy that said we should have different versions of Guitar Hero, it would render this topic useless, but alas, it won't happen. Here's to hope.

sry i don't agree with you...sure i like better alice in chains...but nirvana is one of the most influential guitar bands in the last 18 years.....just look at the way they changed music...now every1 triest to sound and look like nirvana.....though i prefer alot alice and chains(talking about grounge bands) though some nirvana songs wouldnt hurt...like Smells like teen spirit, ra*e me, come as you are and so on^^

though i would like to see, Metallica songs, Slayer, PANTERA omg cowboys from hell, cemetery gates, walk, planet caravan, mouth for war, hollow....prefer metal...though Would?, Down in a hole, man in a box and rooster wouldnt hurt either....^^
