We should send sony a petition about this:

Hey guys, I think we should start a petition to Sony about this.

The only problem I have with PS3 is that you cannot access messages/voicechat/or any of that stuff without quitting the current game you are playing. Sony should implement a system like 360 has, that you can access a menu of some sort in game. I get messages and things while i am playing a game, and it forces me to quit what i am doing to go back to the main screen to check it. This really makes me mad. I am no 360 fan but lemme tell you microsoft mastered that aspect that sony is really lacking. There should be voice chat available even if you aren't playing the same game, and there should also be a way to check and send messages to your friends, check a friendslist, and do what you want without having to quit a game or stop what you are currently doing.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas about how we can get this across to sony, or if anyone has any information on if it is being done, or is a known problem already.

Agreed, you don't need a petition silly guy. Just send your ideas to SCEA. Instead of writing a forum topic like this you should of spend the time writing a draft email to sony!!!

first off the PS3 is not the 360 and 2nd you should read up on things before you start writing petitions... They are planning on an accessible XMB in games... That will fix all your problems so get your panties out of a wad and save your petitions for politics..

I believe he's talking about the cat game which was a use of accessing only the messaging system while stuck at that part of the game. Not at any time within the game.
