web browser really slow?

Is it just me or is the web browser on the ps3 a lot slower than on computers (firefox, safari, IE). i have a laptop, it and my ps3 are on wireless. my ps3 is noticeably slower than my computer. anyone else notice this?

Yeah it is a little slower and it has crashed on me a lot as well, especially if I have more than one window open then it's pretty much a guarantee for it to crash. Maybe it needs to be allocated more RAM, I don't know.

yeh it would be really cool if sony released SDKs for the ps3 so programs could be made for the ps3 OS itself. So you wouldnt have to boot linux to use programs. having messenger or firefox for ps3 would be great. (messenger wont happen, microsoft owned)

Mine is also rather slow and my avg download speed for my wireless is 15000kb/s (speedtest.net)

I agree, probably a memory allocation issue.
