dont buy that big of a tv if it doesn't support 1080p, if you have to go a little smaller so you can afford it thats a good idea...I don't believe that specific resolution is supported it would probably play games at 720p instead, which a lot of games are 720p but blu-ray is 1080p so you if your going to spend a good chunck of change get a tv that is 1080p

Nah, 720p is 1280x720, the reason that 1360x768 isn't 720p is because well, the vertical resolution isn't 720, it is 768. (Both are 16:9 though) and that TV automatically supports 1280x720 as well as 1360x768, but it really doesn't matter, console games tend to be rendered at lower resolutions and then up scaled. The PS3 will never properly take advantage of that TV's native resolution as it doesn't allow you to set such a resolution. If you really want the best quality of your PS3 games, get a plasma screen. LCD tend to look way worse at any other resolution than they would at native resolutions, that's why I generally do not want to play console games on an LCD or watch HD television on them for that matter either, plasma = way better, I personally only use LCD for my computers...My parents do have one that I use with my PS3 sometimes, it is a 42" native 1080p LCD TV, but my parents also have this 42" plasma, the native resolution is 1024x768, PS3 games tend to look way better on the Plasma 100% of the time. And it's pretty much the case for every Plasma vs LCD scenario when it comes to console games. But I'd rather be playing games on my own 25" LCD, 1920x1200, too bad the PS3 doesn't take advantage of my monitors native resolution. As a PC gamer, it's terribly disappointing to see games look like that... So, I tend to play on my parents plasma as much as possible. Plasma sure is some amazing technology...
