There are a suprising amount of final judgments being made about Home, even despite the fact this is its first day in public. Despite the fact that the majority of features slated for home are not yet operational. Despite the fact a lot of customization options and items haven't been added yet. Despite the fact that Home is not intended to be something that ever achieves a final state, but rather continues to grow as the PS3 library does. Hey, maybe in the end, I'll hate Home, but it's hard to hate it on the first day when we haven't really seen what it has to offer yet.
I walked around Sully's Bar and I can't wait until I can get game cabinets into our club house, til I can use that massive flatscreen TV and talk to friends of mine that live across the country as we watch a movie or game trailer. I could have walked around and bemoaned everything that's not in the Home Beta, but I chose instead to see the potential that was there. Just give it a chance. Hell, it's free. Sure clothes and furniture costs something, but the features, the fundamental home experience doesn't. And if you need new gear, you can actually unlock some through PSN games. There's even talk of trophies becoming a form of currency. Wait and see. Maybe you like it, maybe you won't, but it'll never cost you a thing if you don't want it to.
