ahh you caught me, i was hoping no one would notice :P
Dogmatic923: If you have 2000 grand ($2,000,000) buy whatever you want. I am sure you meant 2 grand, in which case I would recommend buying a PS3, an extra controller, a PS2-PS3 memory card adapter, an HDMI cable, Resistance, Motorstorm, Oblivion, and a few Blu-ray movies.
Americahellyeah: A grand is $1000. $2000 x $1000 = $2,000,000 = $2 million.
I find it amusing when people try to correct something that is clearly wrong, only to screw it up even more themselves. :P
Well my gaming set up so far is this. I have a xbox 360 with a 24 inch HDTV LCD. I have the option of buying a 50 inch HDTV LCD to enhance my 360 experance to great lengths with a super screen. Or, I can down size the HDTV to a 35 - 40 inch and buy a PS3 along with it. I don't want to miss out on what the PS3 may have to offer. Also, I have had every ps1 and ps2 so i kind feel i need ps3. At the same time i really want that huge tv. And here i think may be my least favorit option, and that is to buy a super gaming computer and play some pc games i have never played. If you guys could put me in your shoes and tell me what you would do that would be great. thanksDogmatic923Why dont you just get that Vizio that is getting really goot reviews. 50" plasma with good revew for like 1300 and then use the rest on ps3. you get the best of both

With $2,000,000, Id get everything you listed!
But with $2000, Id get..I dont know. Its your choice if you want a PS3. If you really feel you want one then get it. Like you said that you dont want to miss out on it, then just buy it if thats how you feel. You can get a TV later, thats what I did. Except when I bought it I still had an SDTV :D . lolÂ

Exactly, PS3 on a $2000 HDTV sounds like paradise.
In my view, a 1000 on a TV is a more wise decision and then you can save up the rest for the future which, you might need it for other things.

He already has a TV which is around that price ......... 26lcd HDTV ... must be around $700 ..., what would be the point ?
Â
I would buy an extremely good TV, sell the LCD (and the xbox in my case, I dont think you would), and save for the PS3 .

In all honesty I would ge a HD projector and a PS3 and you will still have money eft over for games...I just bought a projetor from circuit city which is now on sale for 900...its my first projector and let me tell you it was worth every penny..I am projecting on a 102 In screen in HD....and the plus side is that the projector accepts HDMI...forget plasma and Lcd because I swear to you this well still give you a great great picture.Whotheman3612

I agree %100. I project right onto the wall(white flat paint). I've got a sony Cineza ($1000-$1500) It does 720 natively and 1080i. Has component and Hdmi inputs.
a wife....then a ps3 and any tv over 40 inch i just find ridicules, un less you live in a very long corrider whats the point?bob_geldof221im not getting your point :/
[QUOTE="kevinjbates"]buy a 95 dodge neon coupe , and cut off the roof. and go pick up chicksDogmatic923Im married

The way I see it, get a decent highly praised LCD panel around 42inches. Skip plasma, any worth while one needs to be 50inches as 42inches usually doesn't have full resolution, and then your stuck with 720p but LCD can give you 1080p around the same price.
Now if you want the biggest screen for your money, you can easily get 57inch 1080p rear projection and have room for a PS3. But if you are sitting 5 feet a closer there's no need to go this route.Â
