2 Days ago, I bought myself a PS3. With the bundle thing (Resistance and Motorstorm). I also directly bought the Black Hawk Down BD.

Installing the PS3 was quite easy and less complicated then with my *insert competitor*. HDMI cable plugged into my TV, optical cable plugged in my surround set, powercable into the powersocket and of I whent. The orchestra started, and I got chills.

I will do a full review of my PS3 in my blog later on, with a comparison between it and my *insert competitor*.

uh... less complicated than the 360? yeah i think not. getting set up to go online is vastly more complicated. the 360 just plugs in to ethernet and works. the ps3 requires a ton of configuration before it will go online. i had to spend some time on the phone with qwest to get my PS3 going, kinda sucked. after you actually GET IT WORKING it is really great though.

Plus, the PS3 has a crap load of configuration options for display and audio that need to be customized, whereas the 360 just has everything enabled for optimum play by default. i guess sony is giving us a wide range of options to suit the various home theater set ups that people have, but still... they should have just had everything turned on by default, i mean why not? its not like it affects anything by having it turned on.

Message me when you post your review. I'd like to see that. Congrats on your PS3. I'm sure you can tell right out of the box it is a much higher quality unit.

What are you talking about? To get my PS3 online i just plugged the ethernet cable and i was ready to go. I didn't do any configuration.

you are lucky then. the vast majority of people that i have talked to have had to get configuration information from their ISP, such as DNS server information, PPoA/PPoE information (for DSL), and various other things. i personally spent 2 hours on the phone with Qwest troubleshooting my DSL to get it to work with my PS3.
