Well, there goes 'PS3 FTW 2008'

Played the Haze demo, after about 40 min of downloading/installing.

I think most people who will (and i know they will) praise this game as being great must take their ps3 fanboy goggles off. If you can bash a game like Turok so much, Haze deserves the same treatment even if its a ps3 exclusive. The gameplay is dodgy and generic, the graphics are a 7/10 at best, dialogue was cheesy as hell and overall, it just wasnt fun. I could barely finish the demo, let alone actually putting down $60+ for this game. It seems like basically you just use nectar, kill opponents and move on, nothing more, nothing less. A crappy gimmick for an average game

So, to everybody who was drooling over the 2008 lineup, so far Haze is a bust and KZ2 has been delayed til 09.

It reminded me a hell of a lot about Turok, which was a great game.

Haze is okay, it's too much like Far Cry with the nectar crap. I'm not into that.

Thats seriously how you sound, One game WOW! Theres plenty of good games coming out this year. I guess Haze is out of the image for me, now I don't know what game to get next.

Killzone 2 is crap anyway. Its all about Resistance 2 which hasn't been pushed backHaku_Ryushi

I dont really care which system is system of the year, i only own a PS3, because its enough to keep me entertained and the games it has are all i care about and i feel that MGS4, R2, LBP and Motorstorm: PR, plus multiplats will be enough for this year and FFXIII and versus (hopefully 09 release), GOW3, Killzone2, GT5, Tekken 6 + probably some other insomniac game cuz they seem to be unstoppable right now at a game a year :P for the ps3, plus other multiplats will probably be enough for me for 09.

Until today i thought Killzone 2 was supposed to be released in 09 and the fact that it got "pushed back to 09" gave me a bit of a surprise. I also don't know if R2 will make it in time for 08, i mean Insomniac has some high calibur games and it feels like they just released Ratchet and Clank, not too long ago, wouldn't be surprised if that came in 09 either (cuz thats when i initially thought it would come out - but hey 08 is even better). I also understand the delays seeing as i'm not a FPS fan, but i just started playing COD4 and i can't put it down, seeing as all future FPS will be compared with this, the delays seem to make sense (and i am now a FPS fan as long as they provide the same amount of fun COD4 does). Im not concerned with this system of the year garbage, as long as devs continue to make games for the PS3, which they will, the future only looks brighter.

Its listed as TBA 2008 right now.... but yea, I'm not tottally sure about that either, but it hasn't been officially pushed into 2009.

I could care less about haze I'm just here for the final fantasy and metal gear the rest can fly away.Besides that you have no say so on anything they make now days you'll continue to buy games just like everyone else and take it like a man. Or until the world explodes.

Never really hyped about this game too. I don't get why PS3 players hype this. It looks like any other shooters out there.

aaaaaaaaaand if you read the preview for killzone 2 on ign you'll see that it may not be worthy of the hype either.

But still there's plenty of great looking multi-plats coming to ps3 with several good exclusive's, several exclusives is not that bad i only expect at least 3-5 exclusives a year, thats always been the case this gen except for the wii but allot of those games were poor.

MGS4 for one could be game of the year, LBP could be fun buts it's not my cup of tea im sure the novelty will wear off and i would only play other peoples levels, i will still check it out.

That infamous game looks cool, the agency im not too impressed with but we have seen very little but it will get delayed its an mmo type game.

White knight could be great, i recently enjoyed lost odyssey and that was nothing special, but it was ok to good 7.5-8.0 which IMO means good, white knight looks better than LO in terms of gameplay and if it can match LO story it should be great.

Haze looks poor IMO, i still have not even downloaded the demo i may try it later.

Gears of war2/fable2/too human/ ninja gaiden 2/alan wake/halo wars/banjoo/splinter cell theres a few games that could be great but we wont know till there released same with the ps3 exclusives.

There's plenty of games coming to both systems, but thats the problem you have when you become a fangirl you only get 1 set of exclusives.

Here's a few multi-plat games:

prototype/far cry 2/prince of persia/battlefield/soul caliber/brothers in arms/mercs 2/endwar/ghostbusters/fallout 3/heist/mk vs dc etc etc etc

There's plenty to go around, grab a tissue and stop crying.

I know R2 has its fans, but I didnt really care for the first one, so really all im lookin forward to is MGS4 this year,,,, LBP is a mystery. Good thing theres good multiplats, otherwise I'd have nothing to play lol

I wasn't overwhelmed by the first game either, but you shouldn't write off R2. Fall of Man was a launch title, this time, Insomniac is releasing a game that has had all the time put into it that they could have possibly needed, and even as a guy who doesn't actually play much online, the multiplayer sounds amazing. I honestly think R2 is going to deliver the goods. All that Resistance had holding it back from true greatness was the PS3 launch window, and this time, thats not a problem.

I'm pretty sure that Haze was an insignificant blip on most people's radars.dewmandew7

Well for me Haze was never in the PS3 massive '08 lineup... So that doesn't make a difference, but now KZ2 delay and (especially) the delay of LBP, well this is as much as Wii/360's year as the PS3's.

I thought the Haze demo was quite fun and the PS3's 2008 lineup really didn't revolve around Killzone 2. We still get RFOM 2, Tekken 5, MGS4, LBP, The Agency, Motorstorm 2, Infamous and White Knight Chronicles excusively in 2008.espoac

I don't doubt that Resistance 2 will make it this year. Let's look at the facts: Insomniac has put out 1 game a year for the past 6 years. Of those 6 games, only one has been subpar (Ratchet: Deadlocked), but even that one wasn't that bad... it just didn't fit as well into the series.

Insomniac's work ethic and production schedules are incredibly impressive; they churn out great games year after year, and have been labeled as one of the top 10 best small companies to work for several years in a row. And now with R2 in current production, I'm looking forward to playing it this fall.
