were are the socom reviews?

I was thinking of buying it for the official headset but I need to see the review first.

If you are talking about Gamespot, forget about it. It will be lower than everyone else's review and it will be hella late, ya know, like any good journalistic company does it. :roll:

As for everyone else, they need to take their time because the servers are wacky in the first couple of weeks and it's an online game so it may take longer.

Hopefully, they're just waiting until the launch issues are rectified so they can give the game a fair review...

The Headset is Awesome. Getting Socom for an extra $10 is worth it for me. The Game is 1 life per round so if your a Halo, Resistance, or Call Of Duty type prepare for an adjustment in playstyle. Socom is a little buggy still in my opinion. It could have used more time in Beta. Then again I was glad to get my hands on the new headset. If your wondering where the Gamespot review is... This lack of an IGN or GS review is killing me. I've been waiting for a review not just to see if it's good or not, but to decide if I'm going to go buy a PS3 or not.

I can't convince my wife to go along with getting a PS3 today without some sort of proof that Socom Confrontation is worth the investment. I know that sounds whipped, but we're a team and we both got to agree when it comes to a big purchase like that.

We're both Socom fans, and a review would go a long way towards helping me out.

Agreed....I love the headset also but the game has yet to grow on me.I just wanted to see what the trade-in value was from gamestop...16bucks!!! I'm forced to keep it now!!! lol

I couldn't agree more...just by looking at the screens and the gameplay footage, I think it will get in the 7s...I'm calling it now :)

I'm not comparing SOCOM to COD4, I'm loving SOCOM (apart from all the server problems). But he said COD4 players won't be prepared for it, meaning theres respawn in COD4 (there is but not in S&D) and none in SOCOM (theres respawn in SOCOM aswell, but those games aren't ranked.

You it's an amazing game. But a lot of people are overlooking it because of the server problems. But Warhawk was like this at launch (or so I've heard, I didn't buy Warhawk at launch) and it runs smoothly now.

its great once you get in a game, but they need to fix there server issues before they get a bad rating, gameplay, i rate a 9

and dont worry they will fix it, they fix the beta, then when the game came out, it was alll over agian

I do not know why there is so much hate for Socom. Here it is really simple. If you loved the old Socom games you will love this one, if not this wont change your mind.

I am having a blast with Socom.Just remember that this is a tactical shooter like Rainbow Six not arcadey like COD4 with lame perks. Also the server issues are fixed for the most part.
