Were exclusives good this gen?

I really think we got a good selection of exclusives this gen.

To name a few, Uncharted series, Resistance Series, Metal Gear solid 4, Heavy Rain, Killzone 2-3, Gran Turismo 5. Pretty much more than I could ask for.

I'm expecting even more next gen.

Suppose so. I think I own more for the PS3 than any other gaming platform.

Same here, i got it a year ago, and i actually got a bigger library on my ps3 than i have on my 360

Obviously i am speaking about the ones i enjoyed out of the bunch here which were in my opinion varied and stellar. I mean i got to play The Last of Us, Puppeteer, Beyond Two Souls this year so why would i complain :p

The exclusives on the Xbox 360 just started to flop.

Halo 4 ruined by 343 industries and Gears being terrible. PS3 exclusives were pretty good these 2 years.

i know what you mean, that's why i switched. The only thing that still keeps my interest is Forza. But that isn't enough for me to justify a console alone

Not that PS3 exclusives were bad, just not my taste. Interactive movies, FPS, and racing games just definitely aren't for me. The only exclusive I found even mildly enjoyable was Infamous.

Yeah this gen i cant complain about sony exclusive, even on PS3's final legs there still pushing some exclusives out.

For the most part. I played a number of really good exclusives, such as Infamous, Reistance series, Motorstorm series, Ratchet and Clank series, Yakuza 4, Sly 4, and some others.

Yeah I'm pretty happy. UC Series, Resistance Series, MGS4, countless hours of Socom MP, LBP Series, Killzone Series was iiiiiggghhhtt, Very pleased with TLOU.

Nope. As always my most enjoyed games were Multiplatform. Nothing exclusive impressed me.

I think there have been a lot of good exclusives (and non-exclusives) this gen. Til you factor in download-only titles, and consider all of the new concepts that have been introduced since the PS2 era, we've come a pretty long way.

There were a lot of genres of games that didn't get much attention, and a lot of beloved IPs that didn't get much love. But all in all, I think there is more we did with games now than there was at the start of the last gen.

Not into Infamous. tried it for a while and quit. Journey I couldn't get into either. Didn't care for Little Big Planet either.

Nothing else? What about Last of Us, Puppeteer, Super Stardust HD, Geometry Wars, Journey, Flower, Uncharted, Killzone, etc. Nothing you liked there at all?

Never played Puppeteer, Journey, or Flower as they never really caught my interests.

Super Stardust was okay, and so was Killzone. They weren't very note worthy though.

I hated the Uncharted series, and because of that I was never enthusiastic about playing TLoU.

As for Geometry Wars, never heard of it.

To me The Last of Us was simply brilliant. I almost feel sad that it's limited to PS3 players only.

you should try outy the games i mentioned or just watch them. They are amazing

I think Sony had the better exclusives overall this gen... hence why I stuck with PS3 for most of it. And I think next gen will be the same, which is why I'm getting PS4.

Yes they were very great this gen. Gen 7 is the gen that brought Coolyfett back to gaming. PSP & PS3 mainly.

As were 360's exclusives at least the first few were, i mean gears of war was amazing graphics wise and it painted the way for cover shooting as we know it now, shame the story was bad, halo was a good shooter but i didn't fall in love with it like i did on the first halo, forza brilliant racing game, fable was alright didn't live up to how peter molynuex talks tho lol if only lol.

i mention these because all these boards seem to do is hate on one another.

but for me ps3 has had the best variety of exclusives i've ever seen, maybe not as many games as we did on ps2 but i mean there was only ever really ps2 and dreamcast around until xbox came. shame were losing out on the mgs series as an exclusive but you know o well, has been a brilliant generation and with the last of us and puppeteer and beyond and even gran turismo 6 sending us off onto the next gen i'm pretty happy to say goodbye and move on now to bigger and better things.

i mean reality is ps3 and 360 only had a rubbish graphics card 256mb ram and look at what they have achieved, i'm looking forward to see whats in store over the next few years seeing as how the graphics have changed from the beginning to the end cannot wait

For PS3... not so much. Outside of the inFAMOUS games and Ratchet and Clank a Crank in Time nothing was really all that great IMHO. The multiplats clearly outshone the exclusives on Sony's console last gen.

Wii on the other hand offered a lot of top tier exclusives last gen.

100% satisfied with both consoles in the end. I needed them both.

i totally agree, the only exclusive i liked on the 360 was Forza, and it's the best racing game i have ever played. Also some of the downloadables are awesome aswell. But yeah, i totally agree with your post

Most I played were good (I say most because I couldn't get into the Resistance series despite trying and The Last of Us did nothing for me). Definitely liked the action in KZ2/3, Demon's Souls is great, Uncharted 2 was my first ps3 game, Ni No Kuni is pretty cool, LBP, Journey, and more I can't think of are really good and definitely worth playing and the ones that didn't interest me I simply didn't play, but they looked like good games for fans of the genre.

8 out of my Top 20 this gen were PS3 exclusives. Ni no Kuni, The Last of Us, Uncharted 1 & 2, God of War 3, Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavy Rain.
