If this belongs in another thread, i am sorry. But, who would you have seen do the voice over for Liquid? Cam Clarke(orginal liquid snake) or Patric Zimmerman(ocelot). I liked how it was, but for some reason i think it might have been a tad better if Clarke did it.

well it would have been cool but it was not possible because ocelot dosnt have the voice of liquid
The Japanese voice actor for Ocelot died so in MGS4 they used Liquid's voice actor for Liquid Ocelot. However for the story to work out they did the right thing.

Not possible ocelot wasnt really liquid, he use hypno therpy to think he was liquid and to act like liquid so why would he have his voice? It wouldn't make any sense.
I think Cam would of been better but he's right, Ocelot doesn't have Liquid's voice...it was still amazing but Liquid's voice from MGS1...classicJordanKid

yes but if you remember in MGS 2, they flipped back and fourth between patric and cam. i was happy with the perf regardless and i know about the hypno therpy, but i just think Cam's Liquid was an all time classic.
Ocelot brainwashed himself into thinking he was Liquid. The effect was purely psychological, so that shouldn't have an effect on what his voice sounds like.

I'm very happy with Patric Zimmerman voice, and I wouldn't mind having Cam Clarke in it as well but I felt the voice of Patric Zimmerman is well suited in this game.
I would have preferred Cam Clarkes voice. Not that Patric did a bad job or anything, but i think Cams voice suited him much better. Liquid just isn't Liquid without Cams voice.
Cam Clarke has always been my 2nd fav voice actor after David Hayter in the mgs series. I think they should have kept him- he call pull off all the "BROTHER!!!" and "SNAAAAKE!" quotes better than Patric.
People are saying that because Ocelot used hypnotherapy it wouldnt work, but if you think about it- Ocelot is the son of Boss and the Sorrow so if he learned to control his ESP between MGS2 and 4 to trick the patriots then it will would have worked out fine and Clarke could have been used.
I think the voice acting for Ocelot was OK, if a little over the top... but most of the voice actors go over the top. My big gripe is that the actor that does Snake sounds like he has laryngitis... they really overdo the gravelly voice thing... should've gotten Kurt Russell to do it. They look enough alike, after all.

There is no replacement for David Hayter, we got used to his voice and if he didn't play Snake in this one the game will suck.

I get your point, but if I were on Team Kojima, I would've asked him to kinda tone it down a little.
I like Cam's voice. It is a ultimate treat to hear him say "BROTHER" or "SNAKE". Still I would have to go with Patric. His voice just fit with the character and setting much better. It would have been nice to hear Liquid (Cam's voice) in Snake's head during most of the game. "Because you enjoy all of the killing, THAT'S WHY?"
