Okay, I'll admit, WET looked cool, but the substance look lacking. Well, the demo actually made a dent, and I am highly considering getting it. Heres my opinion:
Pros:
-Fast, relentless, brutal gameplay
-Undeniably cool
-Faster paced, and more focued on aerial and ground attacks than Stranglehold
-Smooth transition from animations and gameplay mechanics, like going from a slide into a wall-run
-Unique, presentation. While not graphically heavy, the "grindhouse look" is complete with grain, popping, fading, and cracking of the film
-Quick-time events look fun, and throw in a bit of variety
-Rage mode looks and plays phenominally
-Awesomely cheesy, yet undeniably cool soundtrack
-Rubi has a sword as a backup weapon, and two pistols as her main
-Eliza Dushku as Rubi!!!!
Cons:
-Looks like it can get repetiteve, more so if its a short game
-Some elments heavily copied from Stranglehold
-Graphics aren't terrible, but aren't a showcase of what current systems can do
-Controls can be hit-or-miss when trying to latch onto certain objects, like doing wall-runs or jumping off enemies
-The overall premise of the game is a cliche-fest.
Okay, there are my first impressions of the game. What are everyone else's thoughts?
