well hmm. according to other sites and magazines we already have a few AAA titles. but i dont care about reviewer scores much anyway. My favorite racing game on the xbox last gen was sega gt and i dont think that got higher than a 5 or 6 out of 10 anywhere. But i liked it a few hundred times better than forza. I loved the first killzone even though it got crappy reviews. but all that aside my point is that there are fun games out. VF5, Oblivion, Resistance, Motorstorm, and MLB07 are all great titles and you can get them at the store right now. At the end of the month we will also have The Darkness, Rainbow Six, and Ninja Gaiden. Not only that but our console is capable of browsing the internet, running linux, wifi, can support almost every type of multimedia memory card, and has a built in high definition format player. I am having a lot of fun with mine and I am very glad i traded in my "other console" for money towards it back in january(it burned a ring into my gears, oblivion, and dead rising and made them unplayable.That was the last straw). I am very pleased with my purchase and i dont see why anyone wouldnt be.

yeah give sony a chance its not even been out for a year yet look at when 360 was out there was nothing for them and the psp it happens to every console at launch just wait to this time next year and christmas and you will not regret getting your ps3 over the one game console the 360 and you all no the game i talking about halo
I got the ps3 just a couple weeks ago. It's an excellent console... does a bunch of cool stuff... unfortunately (for me anyway) most of the really great games I already have on the 360 and theres no sense buying them again for the ps3. So I'm hoping for more great EXCLUSIVE ps3 titles... or at least some multi console games where they have better content, graphics etc on the ps3 than the 360 version. So far though the ps3 hasn't really beaten the 360 in the graphics department andthe only reason I play the ps3 right now is for Resistence and Motostorm so most of the time I'm still playing the 360.
I think its going to take another year for really stellar ps3 games to appear.
to tell you the truth, if you are not excited playing the ps3 right now. Sell it, you are probably all about hype and go for whatever people on here or whatever website rates games under.  In other words you are not the average gamer. I am right now playing Thawk project8, Resistance, Motorstorm, Mlb the show, lemmings, fight night round 3, final fantasy 12(not a ps3 title but it definately looks like it), Def Jam Icon, Tekken5, GtHd(although its just one track, i unlocked all 20 vehicles) its so fun...in other words im having loads of fun, im like half way done with resistance...cuz i play it online more often. so dont go around saying its not exciting people.
forgot to add, the media server option is Awesome. Im at work right now pulling music from my pc, while browsing through some pictures...right on my psp. Â

If GDC, and Sony's Gamers Day didn't get you excited then you have no pulse and you should sell your PS3. Also just sit back and watch what happens at this years E3 and Tokyo Game Show. Sony's going to wipe the floor with the competition.
There are a few dozen pants jokes going through my head. But the system is exciting. By November it'll be rolling like we all knew it would. A few decent games over the summer are a commin'!
Before this turn into system wars, Halo is only good online...even fans of the game say that the story mode is total sanitatioin. And this gens Halo just looks like part 2 with a little glossyness...Resistance has amazing levels, with great details...insides of buildings with nice interior designs, and loads of weapons that have more then 1 use. I dont like to diss games at all, but i played halo and all i saw was open land, hardly any building structures.Â

No one is saying the ps3 is lame andnot exciting and I'm not knocking it... I'm being positive about it. I'm not the avg gamer though... I'm 37 and don't have time to play as often as I'd like so I buy games I hear my nephew recommend or something that looks cool to me in reviews. I don't follow hype though. MaybeI should just stop off at walmart on my way home and pick up a couple other ps3 titles. Maybe get some titles I wouldn't normally get and I may be pleasently suprised.
I do have fun with the ps3 with the games I do have... I've got resistence, motorstorm (I really like motorstorm by the way), virtua fighter (wish it were online... may pick up tekken 5, is that ps3 or a ps2 title?), Genji, GT (demo... but a good fun demo), Dirt (demo... also very cool). I have the original Lemmings for my old ps1 which I got in 96 and it sucked back then so I don't think I'm getting the ps3 version; #7 was the tops ofthe final fantasyseries so ff12 is probably out; I'm not into rap or any of that hip hop scene so I probably won't be getting that. I've got all the sports titles for the 360 already. I like the ps3 though knowing that better online titles are on the way and I'll be buying my nephew one in January for his bday. I also like the blueray. I've not tried the multimedia features youmentioned yet though... I have a psp so maybe I should set that up with ps3 remote and see what it has to offer.

Well, i really love my ps3. Its got some excellent features technology wise and continues to amaze me. I will admit, that yes, we could always get some more good games, but so can every system. We have resistence, which in my opinion is one of the best shooters out there. not to mention, we have a lot of the AAA titles you are looking for coming out in just a little while. Games like lair, ninja gaiden sigma, Ratchet and clank tools, white knight story, killzone 2 and many more. So don't worry about excitement, worry about going broke.

If you could only have one console right now only a fanboy would say ps3. I thought we bought consoles for gaming not all the other bull. Having said that i own both and im going to give ps3 six more months becuse its to early to call ps3 a bust.
I'd say the Playstation really excited me about a month before launch when I was actually "giddy" about receiving a call from the cute girl at gamestop telling me that they will begin preorders the next day. I was so excited I actually sat through the cold waiting for a piece of paper. It's been all up from there.
WHAT! LOL! Who started the war topic.MGS4,LAIR,Heavenly Sword and HOME are some things for me to get excited about I guess.We all will have to wait and see.
