Rockstar or Level 5
R* makes great games, not just GTA.
Level 5 always puts out quality games especially the JRPGs.
capcom or namco, i think with both those companys dedicated to the PS3 we would see some awesome games come out.
if not them then square enix get them to work on the next gen RPGs not forgeting that ATB combat and an awesome story are what make FF games great and dont get influenced by games like jade empire/KOTOR/NWN. Western RPG's are what bioware do best leave them to it. do what you do best and make epic JRPG's.

BioWare is RIP since it was bought by Microsoft, yes it does make Mass Effect, but it doesn't compare to Kotor. BioWare did loose their license with Wizard of the Coast sicne it was bought by Ms (WotC provides licences for D&D and Star Wars rpgs) Obsidian Entertainment took on with Kotor II and NwN 2.
I don't think Sony could buy Square, more so since the merging with Enix. They make so much money, I don't think it would be that profitable. TakeTwo is a deal because the business isn't doing so well financially. Bandai-Namco is way too big for Sony to be able to buy them either. I'd love for Sony to buy Monolith Software so they'd bring back some Xenosaga love, but hten again, they'd have to buy the license from Namco and does Namco want to sell that? I highly doubt it.

bioware was brought by EA so the game quality could go down but lets hope they still build quality games but use EA's marketing because it seems to work.
I agree with Capcom, Konami, Level 5, and RockStar
The best thing about getting Capcom is that we can force them to resurrect Clover Studios (Viewtiful Joe, Okami, God Hand).
Id buy Epic Games, there about 800 Million Dollars. The companies your naming like Konami and Take Two cost well over a 1 billion.

Sony isn't going to buy a publisher
1. Of all the companies you listed level 5 is most likely.
2. As far as Take 2 goes, it might make sense since Sony could combine the sports division with their own as well as get a number of good development studios. However, Rockstar would probably be the most likely candidate if they went after anyone division, but would be expensive.
3. Epic is a possibility but would probably be more than Sony wants to spend.
4. Capcom would be ridiculously expensive, but its fun to imagine.
In reality Level 5 or Ready at Dawn are probably the most likely candidates (reasonable price). Rockstar is a long shot imo, but still possible as they have always seemed to have a good working relationship with Sony, just very expensive. Kojima Productions I put in the same group as Rockstar, but I don't see Konami letting Kojima go. Just had a final thought, perhaps id software, with rumors of them separating from activision and their engine background, could be a valuable tool for Sony.
none. I'm wholly opposed to console manufacturers buying out 3rd party publishers/developers that currently make games for multiple platforms.
3rd parties staying 3rd party allows for multiplatform releases. This gives more people the opportunity to play a game than would have had the title been system exclusive. It has its pros and cons but I believe that reaching a broad auidence can be as important as big budget exclusives. They both have their place and Sony buying out pubs/devs would upset the balance.
Kojima Productions would be awesome
