This means what games made you felt like ''This is a good game but I am happy I just rent it?''

For me there is Infamous and Assassin's Creed, because those games are really great, but after you've done the campain, you don't have much to do, I did twice with Infamous, One as a bad guy and the other as a good guy. For AC well it became really repetitive so I was happy not to have bought it.

Thats it I wanna hear your stories now!

I used to be that way. I love collecting games and replaying them later but financially I just can't afford to buy games as often as I used to so I started using gamefly in October and I love it. I get to try out and play more games that way and there's always the option of keeping the game they send you for less than full price so you can buy it. AC2 was a great rental

LittleBigPlanet. I've been meaning to buy it for months now but haven't gotten round to it.

I don't rent games and I don't buy used games unless I really can't find it new anymore.

I personally have never rented a game. I do remember when I was a kid though my grandmother rented Mario Party 3. Ahh. Good times.

I'm just getting back into renting. Can't buy ALL the games I'm on the fence on. So many of them I'm sure will just be play once, and never again. A 1-week rental is good enough for that. It will be a good opportunity to play through games that I can't imagine ever buying (darksiders, bayonetta, avatar, etc) My first rental was MAG, and actually that game is now a good candidate to buy. So I would say it was a good rental.

Wanted: Weapons of Fate comes to mind. It was an entertaining little romp, that has next to no worth after the first few hours. Definitely a solid rental though, especially for fans of the series.

Why are people that have never rented a game/don't rent game regularly feeling so compelled to post in a thread about best rentals? :? :P

I rented Assassins Creed 2 really liked. But now I've rented it and played like half the game I don't want to buy it full price.

SnowBoard Kids 2

Ogre Battle 64

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike is STILL the best SF game I've ever played)

Star Wars: Pod Racer Revenge

Red Dead Revolver

Bioshock

Oblivion

There's a whole lot more I bet, but I haven't rented much in the past year. Sadly.

Once I beat a game I lose a lot of interest in it (with a few exceptions) so I'm a renter for life.

I use a game rental service which cuts down on my rental costs quite a bit.

For example, Fallout3 was great, and i had it for almost 6 weeks until I got bored with it. If I owned it, it would be collecting dust...

I literally have boxes of games I haven't thought about in years.

I've been doing nothing but renting and will only buy games with replay value or games that I'd play again. My next candidates to buy are MAG and DS but I am going to rent them first. Should be getting DS next

Modern Warfare 1 and 2. Halo 3 and ODST are the biggies. There are just too many others to remember. Those are just the biggies that stand out. 2 days rental for them and I've more than I can stand. Not trying to stir trouble just sayin. I gamefly most games but if there is a remote chance that I'll want to buy them I try and gamefly them. The four listed I was so glad I rented instead. I didn't have to wait to return them to gamefly to get my next set of games.

I remember renting the first Gran Turismo on a whim, didnt know anything about it but then it became like a phenomenon in my neighborhood once friends played and spread the word lol. We played the hell out of that game back then. Didn't necessarily make me say "glad I just rented it" but topic made me think of this.
