GTA4 about 20 hours, MGS4 about 12 hours. While Oblivion is technically an RPG, it has no "random battle fights", its closer to a fps with aspects of a rpg. Its a WRPG not a JRPG, if you are aware of the difference. I recommend it to everyone.

I don't know where this "20 hours" figure for GTA IV is coming from. It took me 35 hours, and I stuck almost entirely to the main storyline.

Also, inFamous is supposed to be fairly long, although I haven't played it yet.

MGS4 is not that long of a game. Unless you add in the 10+ hours of video, that is. It has some good retail value though and can have you playing the story only for a couple weeks.

Same here. People must have really rushed if they beat GTA4 in 20 hours. As for inFamous, it's about 15-20 hours for a single playthrough - but most people will want to play as both good and evil, so you can probably double that.

  • MGS4-If you play to unlock everything
  • GTA4-If you try to complete the game 100% and play some mp
  • Online shooters-Such as COD4, if you like these games they can last a very long time
  • InFamous-If you do both play-throughs and collect everything
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma/2/DMC 4-These games are hard, but if you loved them you will be tempted to challenge yourself to play through the harder stages
  • Saints Row 2

These are some that come to mind.

Deadspace has a good long campaign plus it's probably one of the best games this gen. I'd recomend that one. Orange Box is another good one HL2 by itself is pretty lengthy and I found almost NONE of the alleged glitches & bugs that were reported in the review. It's almost worth it just for Portal alone.

Dead Space is pretty average length for an action game.

resident evil 4 took me 18 hours for the first playthrough and there is A LOT of unclockable items, that adds A LOT replay value along with the cooop.

inFamous is a lenthry game.

ninja gaiden sigma 1... i played it twice in a row and if i hadn t buy RE5 it would be 3 times.. it lenghty. don t know about sigma 2

Infamous comes to mind. MW has given me about 80 hours of quality MP gameplay (PC) and Borderlands should provide a great and more interesting substitute for L4D2. AC2 should have like 20 hours or so plus the fact the game has way more replay value then the first game.

Theres nothing about Oblivion which strikes me as FPS, and everything strikes me as RPG. Not sure what game you were playing. But I reccomend it to no-one. I cannot see why anyone would like that. Gameplay, graphics, animation, story... urgh, everythings bland and boring. Not to mention Bethesda are purely business and sell stupid DLC and never make decent PS3 games. Fallout 3 was good, but still worse than the other versions and then they release packs at STUPID prices.

i would recommend gta. it is the only game i have played so far in which u can enjoy just running around town and killing people in different ways. so many many hours wasted just doing that... whereas in infamous, cole has just 1 or 2 ways of killing people, and he cant run over anyone with a car or a truck or a speed boat through the road.

cheers dudes, gta IV looks like the right choice along with MGS IV... oblivion stikes me as an RPG compared to the new dragon age which looks a little more less like an RPG and more of an action adventure which should be good.
