Wel as far as I know the pros of SC4 is that its a weapon based fighter and the character models look great plus its online enabled. Cons, too much focus on Star Wars characters to promote the game and the special onehit kills apparantly take you away from the gameplay since it shows a movie of the attack intead of you inputting commands to that special 1 hit kill attack. I forgot to mention another con, the game will apparantly be button mash friendly.
I can't think of any cons for Tekken 6 or Street Fighter4 because so far all I see is good points about those games, I had my doubts about SF4's direction but now I actually think it looks great.
BTW Mortal Kombat vs DC is just one massive con to MK fans like me.
nice, is tekken 6 online enabled?sauses3392
Yep Namco have confirmed Tekken 6 to be online. The game will probably be showcased for the PS3 at TGS, showing a vastly improved version over the arcade T6.
SC4 has customizable characters as wellRazerOfHellVII
yep another pro for SC4, I still wont be buying the game because its going to be button mash friendly and also I find it sickening that Namco are deciding to basically promote the game with Star Wars characters, I hate Star Wars !

I don't hate Star Wars, but I think it is a bit ridiculous for Star Wars characters to be in a Soul Calibur game. Oh well, at least they kept the character creation mode, that was one of my favorite parts in SC3.
they've done nothing to advance the Soul Calibur series as far as refining the fighting engine. If you've played one soul calibur game, you've played them all. If you have any previous version, go with something else.whoozwah
Most fighting game don't change much, but add more fighters. The only new thing is wall fighting in Tekken now. I haven't tried it yet. But SC has replay value because of the conquest mode. Oh don't get virtua fighting because it too slow for me. That if you like slow and stiff fighting game.

Virtua Fighter is deep. It rewards the player who practices and punishes the player who button mashes. That makes Virtua Fighter a better series than any other one you could name.
[QUOTE="Denji"]Street Fighter 4 if you're a SF fan. Yet to find cons as nothing much has been reviewed yet though it is in arcades in Japan.sr0586
one of my top games to get is SF4. The father of all fighting game today. Hate it too so long for a new one.
Yeah, 8 years. But atleast it's here. I wonder when the console versions are coming? The EB site said Feb 3rd 2009, but then again, you could never believe a store site.

SC and Tekken is deep also. It just noob rely on button mashing. I agree practicing makes you better. Skill fighters use tactics. you should see me and my brother play Tekken 3 and how tense our fight be. Mulitple counters, last second kills, ties, comeback from near death, and sidesteping and grappeling moves to give you a brief hints. And it's the same with Street Fighter games. But virtrua fighter is just slow to me and not as fun. Maybe it me. Maybe I should play it more cause I haven't followed that series. But everyone has their own taste.

True. atleast I had fun with the alpha series while waiting. I could never get a hand on the VS. Marvel series cause it's so rare where I live.

i hate playing with players who just mashing buttons, they dunno what theire doin and easily killed by me lol.
yeah once you mastered all the combos and counter attack, thats when you realized that fighting games is not just about mashing buttons.
i used to be so good at virtua fighter, theyre basically like tekken but yeah a bit slow, but they do have those combos once you practice it, i used to be so good at it tho.
I love tekken combos but Street fighter will always be my number one, i like a lot of combos and really fast gameplay.
i love Street fighters and King of Fighters, cuz they do have like more then 50++ characters and i can use any of them really good lol.i grew up with fighting games. i cant wait till SF4 and tekken released gahhhh!
finally ill be able to play with real fighters online and not stupid AI!
