What are your biggest criticisms of Online Multiplayer games?

I was playing motorstorm the other day and although the game played and looked fantastic, I was really disappointed by the lack of diversity.

I love multiplayer. What are your biggests complaints towards next gen multiplayer games these days?

what do you mean by "lack of diversity"? do mean that the games are all similar genres? just curious.

Well on my ps3 my only gripe is that you cant exit connections easily. You should have an option of cancel while trying to connect to a server. like on the PC. It seems like by the time the software figures out a connection, the server is full. The exact same thing happens on a PC, but the code to figure out the connections/quit tyring to make a connection seems faster.

While you are online though, there is NO LAG at all on warhawk, which I find amazing with 32 people.

Sorry, I mean the lack of different game modes. All you can do is race... the same tracks all in the same way. Although something like a time trial would be ok, more original game modes would be nice as well.

I'm disappointed that the opponents I mock over the microphone so seldomly return fire.

Lobby systems can be much better

More Mic users

More frequent repairs and updates

Online just seemed to go downhill for me since the socom 2 days, 95% of people playing had mics and I knew people on there for months, even years. I guess im just getting to old

Mostly the cheating and the lagging players

yes, its the players that eventually make the game not as fun.

On the flipside, I can't wait to get motorstorm and try it online.

I could get into the whole dedicated servers thing, but it's pointless. If you truely feel you're getting what you pay for... All the power to ya. ;)
