What are your top 3 reasons for loving the Ratchet and Clank franchise?

I am actually quite curious to see if we get the same answers over and over again or a whole bunch of different aspects stated throughout the different posts.

Guns, guns and more guns, gadgets and humor

its actually just plain fun, nothing to fancy. you dont get to mash buttons that much in other games. its a funny, lovable atmosphere, something i dont even get from SuperMario of this gen anymore.

1. Collecting and leveling up the AWESOME weapons
2. Great sense of tongue-in-cheek humor for adults and slapstick comedy for kids (and adults)
3. Replayability

You can list all the aspects of the game you want, but what the R&C series does is nail the sense of fun. It's hard to describe in detail, but R&C games are just a blast to play from start to finish. Insomniac's love for making games really shines through in every aspect of all of their games.

Sorry, but I cant even think of 1 reason.

I'm not a big fan but I've played nearly all the Ratchet and Clank games (even though I really dislike most of them. Wait, I guess I'm not a fan at all) The first was cool but things just went on flat road from there. The games didn't get any better or worse so they just get boring for me. However, I did actually buy ToD (used) and QfB (sale) mostly because the story got somewhat better.

At least the parts I do enjoy is being able to level-up the weapons and some of the humor is actually funny. What I don't like is how Ratchet moves so stiff, ever since the first game I don't like how he moves.

I dont like ratchet and clank. and for thos who are saying it has adult humor, would you please give a few examples? I just was curious...

guns, gadgets, ratchet, clank, quark, the plumber, it's a platformer, it's a shooting platformer, good humour, unreal graphics, upgradeable guns, it's an awesome platformer, insomniac makes it

I think I like it so much because the game is so unique. Think about it, there's not really a game like it out there.

It's a platformer, which is something rare these days. I like exploring the levels to find every tiny little thing. The Pixar approach works well for this game. The characters are always cool. There is not another game this generation like it really.

I've always been a huge fan of platformers, but R&C has never appealed to me. Maybe it's because the platforming, from the ones I've played anyways, just has not been that great. I don't know, maybe when I get around to playing ACiT, I'll begin to enjoy the franchise.

and i love the leveing up system- i wish more games let you level stuff uip by actually using the weapon/ ability
