I have plenty to say, butI willsum it all up with mind blowing amazing.
To think it was only a patrol zone followed by a small skirmish. Imagine what it would've been like if a Gekkou would have shown up and started destroying everything that moves, or if the soldiers nanos went haywire. Oh the possibilities.
agreed, ive always loved MGS, and this will be the best one, and the best game ever :DI have plenty to say, butI willsum it all up with mind blowing amazing.

Great, cant wait. I hope tha real game doesnt have alll those weapons in btha beginnin', I like to struggle for a bit like in tha last onesGKinneli bet the weapons were just there to show a variety of what you can get, make it more appealing than just showing off an mk22 :-p

well yea of course it was just to show all the weapons and how they work. The final game would most likely start off with only mk22 and a knife
I think it definetly retains the traditional way of playing metal gear solid while adding in a bunch of new mechanics too. You can now have a fps mode that lets you shoot stuff way more accurately than in previous mgs games, for example. The graphics is really amazing, and shows off that kojima was really no joke all this time he's been working on the game.PSdual_wielderfps mode was in previous games, you just couldnt move in the view and play the whole game like that.

is mgo separate from mgs4? i mean like do we have to buy it separately?
I wasn't to excited for it, then i saw this video and omfg it going to be the greatest game ever made!!!!
I almost couldn't believe how imersive it is, i mean that little skirmish really felt like snake was in a war!!
I guess I'm the only one who thought it looked pretty boring. He's lying on the floor and a guy walking by doesn't see him? Sure he's camouflaged but he's still a big lump in the floor. He turned into a tin can and rolled at those guys, it seemed to be making lots of noise but they never looked. Was the AI purposefully made blind to him for the demo so he could stroll around and show his toys? The graphics look great and the gameplay options seem cool but it seemed like he was outside the battle but still able to inflict damage, like a god mode or something, he just walked out in the open and didn't worry about cover.
Oh, yeah and Snake looks lame, like a 50 year old hippy in body armor.
It is attention to the smallest of details that make Hideo Kojima one of the best game designers ever.
For example, I love how the smoke effect when the highrise was destroyed by the Flying Metal Gear machines. You see the building falling down in the distance and see the smoke rising from the explosions. Seconds later, the smoke is making its way towards Snake.
Another example is when Snake is lying on the ground and gets shot at from behind. He quickly rolls around and takes out the PMC's on the roof. Upon reloading, Snake pops out the shell of the bullet he just fired.
Finally, last but not least, Snake throws up after rolling around in the barrel...
The game isn't going to be out for at least another 4 months and it has such a high level of polish on it...We already know the story is going to be good. The graphics are simply amazing. I expect the sound quality and sound effects to raise the bar for gaming in general. It is through the sound that Hideo Kojima will fully utilize the advantages Blu-Ray.
How any PS3 owner could pass this game up is completely beyond me. I am very impressed and very excited for its release sometime next year.
PSN: Dominus9
what i liked:
-evrything. i was truelly amazed
what i didn't like:
-the barrel rolling... silly and impossible (i know, it's funny and it's a game, but this is TOO impossible: lot's of NOISE and by rolling real slowly he knocks down two guys..)
The video amazed me.
First the free camera adds more view area, and for this game, that will have tons of stuff going on, as showed in such an small space, its a must.
Snakes movements were less d-pad like (if you know what I mean) and more fluid
The new posture (crawl walking is really usefull), and is faster, I mean, you can run from battle in the snake position lol.
The octo camo worked amazing, how the body assimilated the textures and designs.
The enviroments, from dust clouds, papers flying etc etc.
The new aiming modes looked good, except FPS that seemes as the one in the previous ones.
Effects, from the vomit that stayed on the ground, to the building falling down (and wha the f*** where those bird bombers?). Also, the dust blown when a bullet impacted on the ground or on a fallen body was amazing, and the explosions.
The new CQC movements and body search option
Items do not float anymore and are hard to differentiate, di you guys say, they were next to the guard but did not poped out as in previous ones or blinked as in RE games.
Siding with the factions looks something really funny to do.
MK II using the SIXAXIS was fun from what it seemes, and the movements were just like the videos too
Looking at the magazine lol.
The new movement of back crawling, rolling and such are great additions that will add lot of gameplay

The AI was on very easy. While on very easy the AI use only basic equations and not any sort of AI at all. Kojima explained this long ago, and if Im not mistaken, its also on the manual of every MGS game.

it was because no enemy was ever that stupid in an MGS game.I guess I'm the only one who thought it looked pretty boring. He's lying on the floor and a guy walking by doesn't see him? I agree, I really don't see what's so exciting about standing there pretending to be a statue. Graphics are good, but Iv'e been playing the portable ops, and when Im not falling asleep from the dialogue, the controls are pi$$ing me off.
Oh well, you guys seem to like it, so enjoy. I don't have to understand it for you all to dig it. That's the beauty of different personalities, a little something for everyone.
It was freaking amazing. I am buying this.
Note: it's crazy how Resident Evil 4 has had some influence.
yes they are selling metal gear online seperate i believe to make more profits to keep the game exclusive. the online portion is so cheap to make that when they sell it for $40 or whatever they will be making a lot of money on it.
and everyone complaining about the barrel and cartoonish feel, maybe you guys need to play past metal gear games, they have always been like this.
if not seen you may down load from PS3 store, i thought the graphics were amazing from the environments to the enemies, and snakes movements were very smooth and he has many new tricks he can do, i cant wait for the game jerkface96
The game looks amazing! This is still not full power of the PS3 yet. This is one of manygames in the future that will look awesome!
