What difficulty do you start on PS3 games?

Well, I usually play medium, and if the game is good I will play harder levels.

Depends on the game. I usually play on medium for every game unless it's a horror. Then I just play on Easy/Very Easy:D

Medium/Hard. Don't want to get too frustrated.

Depends what game. If its the Call Of Duty series I always play on Hard, anything else I play on medium.

cod games on vetran, it got normal for me.

with other games i start on normal and the second playtrough straight on the highest difficulty possible

To be honest I voted medium BUT it really does depend on the game, if is a franchise that I have played before,or something I am used to playing then I'll go medium, but sometimes if it has really complex controls, (and bear in mind I am not that good a gamer), I will try it on easy to start with to get used to the controls and gameplay, more than likely though I'll complete it and try the next difficulty level up as there's usually a additional trophy anyway

Usually medium. If I played other titles of the series I start with hard. FPS I start on highest available difficulty, the harder parts in those are try-and-error anyways.

Easy. i get agravated and frustrated easly. I just like to enjoy the exp of playing threw a game with out haveing to redo Lv's ect over and over. some games like MGS4 i play on med and hard.

If its a new sereis i play on easy if its something im familiar with then i play on medium/hard.

This...not because I'm God but because i don't have much time to play games so if I can get everything on one playthrough I will. However, playing CoD:WaW on Veteran is not fun.

I almost always play on the hardest difficulty that is available once I start a game. If I play on EZ Mode or Medium the game will be entirely too boring

Medium, always medium. If it's too easy I'll crank it up a notch, but it's usually sufficient :P

I always play on medium, unless it's a racing game in which case I turn off all the assists and set everything to be as hard (and realistic) as possible.

Easy, then Hard, then whatever there is left:D

Normal. I want to enjoy the game with a decent challenge, not die every 3 minutes.

I usually start on medium so I can learn the game and still get a challenge without risk of frustration. After finishing the game, I almost always go back and play it again on hard.

Uh games that I have no experience with - I usually try Medium, but series or styles that I play a lot definitely starts off on hard.

There is one exception, Ninja Gaiden always on the easiest difficulty, lol (which I'm sure is hard :p)

Depends. Usually Normal/Medium but some games are more fun on higher levels and some on lower levels. For example, I think inFamous was more fun on easy than hard because you feel more "superhuman"

I save the harder modes for replay motivation.

Usually Medium just to enjoy the game and not feel like i'm getting frustrated. Then for the challenge and if I like the game, I'll go back and play on a harder difficulty.

I like to play on easy since I suck at many games haha. Sometimes normal if I know I'll be good at the game. Hard difficult is only when i'm playing the game a 2nd time or something like that.

I usually start on the hardest as possible if available. If not available I start on the easiest.

The way I see it, whatever you start on becomes the norm for you, becomes the standard.

So whenever I start a game I start on the hardest possible, which is usually hard.

1. The hard mode is never really hard, if anything it makes it more fun.

2. With games like Uncharted 2 where you only unlock the hardest by completing Hard, it saves time by starting on Hard.

The only games I don't like to play on Hard right away are rhythm or puzzle games. Anything else I just jump into the hardest they throw at you.
