What do you set you game difficulty too.

I like to get my moneys worth so i put it to the hardest mode sometimes its annoying because i cant complete the game.

I aslo do it because i cant stand playing through a game within a day or two

It depends, mainly when i first start a new game i set it too hard but sometimes the hard difficulty is just annoying and becomes more about luck than skill, when a games difficulty is done right playing on ard can be a more rewarding expierence and IMO can provide more enjoyment for your cash.

If the game is just annoying on hard(FEAR) and basically all your doing is trying to luck your way to the next checkpoint after dying 10 times i will set it too medium.

Gears of war(i cannot think of a ps3 game i have played on hard, i think i played RFOM on medium and ninja gaiden on medium, also i cannot remeber what i played heavenly sword and uncharted on medium also i think) had a perfect hard setting, it was difficult but it felt more realistic as you could only take a few shots(1 head shot) which is how things really go and having the cover element allowed for some strategic battles on hard, i think KZ2 will be similar as rainbow six was also a good game on hard, that may be the difference as when theres a cover mode you have some where to evade bullets where as in other shooters its basically run around and shoot which involes allot of luck , halo 3 was like that i played that on hard and it would take several attempt to clear a checkpoint.

Also why do you have medium novice, it should just be easy/medium/hard but since you put a term to each med should be intermediate as a novice is a beginner.

I almost always choose normal and then maybe once more after i beat it one time. On the second playthrough I usually like to test out the weapons i gained from previous plays. I don't like the fact that you put novice in parenthesis after normal. sa10kun

Yeah, i also play medium first then go onto hard.

i dont like easy because it is to easy.

for me it definitely depends on the game

like for call of duty 4 it was the first time i played an FPS for more than 5 mins so i started on easy

but games like madden which i've played since genesis i always start on all madden

I don't play games for a challenge.. i play them to have fun...

so easy usually... although if i really like a game i will play through it on the other difficulties.. its not that i suck is the reason i play on easy... if i'm not having fun i really don't see the point of playing it...
