I think it sucks, but casuals will like it. So good for them.Â
Home has definitely intrigued me with its trophy system, especially that Senate from Star Wars like view of the ones that you haven't gotten yet.
As far as how it can help, I think there's aspects of Home that can intrigue people. We just got to wait until more is shown and told about these aspects.
I'll test it out, play around and make a 'living space' to show off. But, what I'm really looking forward to, is showing it off to my Xbox 360 friends...hopefully they will get a thought such as, "Why doesn't 360 have that?" And then laugh at the look on their faces. Hopefully they will then know that I own the 'better' console. And I agree, it will go well for causal gamers. Most "hardcore" gamers will want to play games/what do you think about home and how much will help the console

Question for all the "gamin'" lawyers out there.... AFAIK it is illegal to rent/buy a movie and show it to a group of people (10+ I think). With the ability to do so with @Home would one be breaking the law by streaming videos to potentially large groups of people?Â
Keep in mind that this is just something I've heard and not really sure if it's even a law so no flaming please

Plus do people understand how much bandwidth it would take to stream HD content to more then one person over the net?

Not impressed. They should concentrate on a global friendslist and global voicechat instead. Having to quit a games to send or read messages is lame. Not being able to chat with people anytime you want is also lame.
There are tons of other features they should fix first. Upscaling DVD's, downscaling BD to 720p, let you play your own musik in the games, connectivity to your PC. The list is long. Instead we get a virtual chat. Lame.
The point everyone criticising HOME seems to be missing is that its free, and its not being forced on people. I'm not saying people aren't entitled to an opinion on it, but it seems like a lot of people are a little too vehement in their criticisms of HOME, as if they're actually angry that its coming out. At the end of the day, it's free, and can be ignored by the PS3 user who doesnt want to use it, but don't get stressed about it, life's too short!
Personally I think it could be a fun way to get updates on the ps3, and associated game companies. So instead of going to Insomniacs website on my PC to check if they have any new games coming out, I could potentially wander over to their personal room and watch a video on their wall, or view character models through a glass screen in HOME. Other than that, I doubt ill be using it that much, but I do like the possibilities it opens.Â
