If you like the genre, and you don't mind it isn't multiplayer..then yes definetly... most everyone who has that game thinks the GS rating is lame... it should've recieved around 9.0 in my opinion... They put that it was too hard and could be frustrating... but with R&C they put that its too easy...they are critics they can never be content, yes its a great game.

You can't always take reviews 100%. Gamespot and IGN both gave Battlefront II around a 7.5ish but I found the game to be one of my all time favourites. If I could rate it I'd give it at least an 8.5.

Reviews aren't suppose to dictate what you should or shouldn't buy, they're just suppose to be a guideline. A game the reviewer might like you may not, and vice.

For me the game is a 9. The shooting is killer fun, the graphics are very amazing, as is the sound - and while the path to go on is always too easy to find, it's not always that easy to get through. There's all of that - and I have yet to play through on Hard and Crushing mode yet. I was dubious about this game at first, I dl'd the demo and liked it a lot, so I bought it and I'm enjoying it thoroughly since. If you have the ability, then get the demo to see how you like it, if you want an answer from the people in the forums - my answer is: Yes, go get it.

P.S.

Don't question whether or not to buy a game based on reviews or what other people say about them, if there is a demo then try that, if not then rent it or if a friend has it play it, you have to know for YOURSELF whether or not to buy a game, not by other people or other crappy game site opinions.

The best review is always going to be your personal experience with any given title.

i could care less this game is awesome, i find it funny that most people think an 8 is bad thats 2 short of 10, you kjnow how many games are less than that and are really good games.

If Uncharted is "frustrating" enough to get an 8, Ninja Gaiden should have gotten a 4.

I think demos are the best way to figure if you want the game or not. Reviews are good for unbiassed facts like graphical glitches or whatnot. Watching previews and gameplay videos (not trailers) would give you good info as well.

For me, Uncharted is on my wish list right now. I really want it. :)

Shooters these days like R & C and Uncarted by todays standard are expected to have multiplayer. Heck, R&C had online multilpayer on PS2 and not having on ps3 should reflect its score as its a step back for the series.

A game shouldn't be marked down for not having multiplayer. If a game is single player only, then it should be reviewed as such. Besides, there are a lot more gamers out therethat don't play online than gamers that do.

Anyway, the Uncharted review is a joke, plain and simple.

If soemthing like Bioshock doesnt have multiplayer its fine because a game like that wouldnt work online anyways..

but something like R & C used to have multiplayer and they removed it so obviously you have to take that into account.
