Yeah Home as well. My friend is selling his 360 because of home. And about a month ago, he said the PS3 sucked.

If they start hyping KZ2 again, and it is even better than we could have hoped, I would say you could add it to the list. As for the US and UK (maybe not Japan), it's also the most mainstream style and if good enough the most likely to be a system seller.

MGS4 will definitely sell systems, but I'm not sure how many. The game will sell really well but it is in a niche genre and not completely mainstream. I could see it selling the most copies on release, having a worldwide release date, but I'm not sure it will be the definitive system seller, but hopefully I'm wrong. I do believe it will be the best game this year, though (unless FFXIII comes in '08 ).

LBP is kind of iffy. It will greatly depend on how much Sony markets the game as to whether or not it is a system seller. This is the type of game that parents/adults will buy a system for which could make a serious contender as the system seller game. However, Sony has to make sure everyone knows about the game, otherwise it may be overlooked. I'm not talking about all the tech demos at trade shows, because obviously there are a ton of people who don't watch that type of thing. They need to have a bunch of commercials and in store advertising.

FFXIII is the most proven mainstream title of the bunch (MGS isn't quite at that level, even in Japan considering the popularity of FF there). I think since the game will look so amazing, it has a very good chance to sell a bunch of systems. So far I see FFXIII as the most impressive looking game, even though we haven't seen very much. This is one of the main points in selling a game, especially when it's attached to a Final Fantasy label, which sells millions of copies anyway.

So, for the definitive system seller? I would say the best title with that chance is all the exclusives coming to the ps3 (mainly MGS4, Resistance2, KZ2, LBP, GT5, FFXIII/Versus). Hopefully people will purchase the ps3 realizing they will be getting quite a few games down the road that are near guaranteed to be good, although, sadly people as a whole are very short-sighted.

This year PS3 has alot of system sellers and they will appeal to each major territory.

MGS4 will appeal to the America territory the most

FF13 will appeal to the Japanese territory the most

GT5 will appeal to the European territory the most

lets not forget KZ2, R2, LBP, Infamous, Tekken 6 which are also system sellers in my opinion.

Probably MGS4, GT5, Little Big Planet, FF, Resistance 2 maybe...

KZ2 potentially could be, certainly to a casual fan base.. For us, we will have to see how it is rated, but a casual gamer sees graphics like that, and its sold.. That said I really hope KZ2 does well, it has a huge amount of potential, and does look wicked from the vids we've seen, we'll just have to wait..

i dont think that the ps3 needs one game that is the system seller......when you think about it the ps2 did not have one game that was the system seller it had many......

the only time the word system seller came about was when halo was released on the xbox.....

so in my opinion the ps3 doesn't need a halo to push systems.....we still have mgs4,final fantasy,gt5.....and a lot of new titles that are gonna hit store shelves this year...

And they did do Indigo Prophecy, which was cool, and different. You need a few games like that. Dreamfall on the Xbox was not made by them, but was cool to, kinda the same thing. Zoe made it easy to play thow lol.

Resistance 2, Metal Gear Solid, and Final Fantasy XIII imo. I'm only really hyping one of those games, but in terms of sales I think they'll pull in some huge numbers.

Despite how much I love my PS3, at the moment i cant really say that it has a system seller. once MGS4 and R2 and KZ2 come out it will but not at the moment. i think the system seller for PS3 right now is blurayTOTAL_DEFENSE_0

Not for me. The system seller for me was being able to wash my hands of years of installing beta games on my computer, patching them time after time to no avail. The crashing to desktop because of minor hardware incompatabilities, the list goes on and on...

in short, I found it the perfect time to scrap computer gaming since I had recently had a $2,259.00 gaming PC built only to find that it ran games like crap. It was the straw that broke my back, I couldn't take it any longer so I went out and bought a PS3.

But not for movies, for HD gaming! On a 56" Plasma TV.......So much better then my 23" monitor.

Besides the blu-ray player in PS3 is sub-par as far as I'm concerned. The movies I bought for it lag and skip and jerk from time to time...not impressed. But the game part of it is killer!

I'll let you know when I pick one up. It'll probably be MGS4 or Little Big Planet, depending on which comes out first. I've been content with my 360 playing Call of Duty 4, Rock Band, Orange Box, Burnout Paradise and occasional Halo 3, but I've recently picked up a PSP, Portable Ops and a few other games and got back into the Sony scene now that they've got their act together.

As you can probably tell by my user name, I'm a big MGS fan so I can't wait for that. However, I think most people can agree that Little Big Planet has their attention as well, so it really comes down to the release date of those two for me. FFXIII looks good, but I didn't enjoy FFXII that much (but I love IV - X), so hopefully its different enough.
