I honestly couldn't care less for it.. No ones making me wear glasses to play a game. I can stand motion gaming, but 3D is something that I feel is tacked on and used by a very minor amount of users.

Depends on different individuals, a friend of mine who works at Currys predicts 3d tvs to go cheap this year as a company is apparently developing a glasses free 3d tv set. I want to get one to mainly play Silent Hill: Downpour in 3d and Uncharted 3.I honestly couldn't care less for it.. No ones making me wear glasses to play a game. I like it, but it's not necessary. Some games really benefit from it (For example Sonic Generations, Child Of Eden and Uncharted 3, I really want to try Silent Hill: Downpour as well) while in others it's horrendous (Killzone 3 takes a huge framerate and resolution hit due to the 3D requirements so it ends up looking blurry as hell, in Super Stardust HD it makes it harder to notice the projectiles, etc.). It really depends on how well it's implemented, sadly, like in movies, many devs just rush the 3D features.
This ... AmnesiaHaze ... that pic is hilarious! Thanks for the laugh! :Di think its great , its not necessary but very welcome

It's completely unecessary. 3D gaming is a waste of time and money. It does nothing to enhance the gaming experience, all it does is give you a headache.
3D gaming is proof that developers are running out of ideas.

While I wouldn't go as far as saying that 3D is completely unnecessary -- technological advancements do spurn on other developments -- I would say that it is completely and utterly a gimmick. Yes, when I first saw Avatar, I was blown away. Do I feel the need to see anything else in 3D? No. Do I want to pay the extra money to have the experience? For me, it's definitely not worth it.

Even if 3D sets are cheap? Surely you would buy it if they were cheap? I'm waiting for a price slash, I want to get a small one like 24" or something for my room, solely for gaming.[QUOTE="AmnesiaHaze"]This ... AmnesiaHaze ... that pic is hilarious! I know this is off topic but I also love AmnesiaHaze's pic. It kinda makes sense considering his name. LOL.
I really enjoy playing some of the games that support 3D, even God of War 3, MGS4 adn U2 (in simulated 3D ) are looking great !!!
It has potential, but i feel there is something missing, don't know what it is but it's not a complete exp.
i personally hate it and can't stand the idea.. soon they'll be forcing it on gamers just like multiplayer..
I draw two parallels: a) high def video is better than standard def video, b) surround sound is better than stereo which is better than mono audio. Most people see in 3D so surely a move toward realism is beneficial?
Few people can argue that high def video or stereo audio is worth it, but when it comes to 3D video it get's a bit grey because a) some people with otherwise "normal" vision find they see no improvement with 3D because they are partially "3D blind", b) current tech isn't as good as it needs to be, c) 3D gaming on consoles costs about the same as a low budget surround sound system ($100-$400 premium over 2D).
Of the almost 40 3D games I've playedthe 3D is excellent in a handful, good in many, and poor in a handful. For me it is a definite plus.
