What do you think of infiniy ward handing over modern warfare? *spoilers*

I just read on gamespot rumour control that sledgehammer games ( ex dead space developers ) might receive the right from infinty ward to create modern warfare 3. Well i dont know about anyone else but i think that is one of the dumbest things infinty ward could ever do, i understand their bored with call of duty now and want to try something new. But why would you ruin a perfectly good series by handing mw3 over.

I think infinty ward should at least finish the series off, instead of letting it get ruined. I think most of us understand that infinty ward has amazing talent to connect with the audience and amaze them with the quality of their games ( Referring to modern warfare 2 story lol ) i personally am eagerly awaiting the final chapter in Soaps story, so why hand it over to another developer who wil just keep adding installments to modern warfare? WHY? they will spoil every aspect that made modern warfare games great because they will be the Noobs of Call of Duty developers... Which means Treyarch will be less nooby? OMG that cannot happen. If it happens then the day infinty ward want to come back they will just deny them the rights or something.

I smell some fishy maybe they will work on a game that no body will expect and it will be the game of 2010 or 2011.

I'm glad they did it. Unlike Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer hasn't been corrupted and doesn't spit out crap sequels with no major improvements every two years(yet). Plus, Dead Space was incredible.

Id think that they would want to create and move onto something new and fresh, im looking forward to those good people at IW to see what they come up with themselves with new IP. =) See if they can stand on thier own two feet.

And duude, dead space creators? I dunno a developer more trusting with the IP of Modern Warfare. Its only a rumour but i hope its true.

You want to see if IW can create a new IP and stand on their own two feet? Call of Duty comes to mind and it's pretty popular.

I think they probably feel they wanted to leave it (if they do) on a high note when talking about sales figures. Sorta like an athletes decision to retire having just won MVP, do they want the modern warfare franchise when it was in their hands to be left with the impression of huge success, or take a risk and make a 3rd that will flop horribly. Im sure they are seeing that people are generally getting bored with the game and the COD franchise as a whole(as I am) and just want to try something new. Just one of the many speculations.

Dead Space is a great game so hopefully they could improve Modern Warfare.

Well i checked you link and its showing me Infinty ward are interested in an MMO right?
Well check out what Activision Ceo has to say on a certain MMO ... http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6187208.html- He all but rules out the possibility of a call of duty MMO

Also a couple of months ago, i read on gamespot that activison was bringing a third developer to the call of duty series. So theres a chance that sledgehammer games can take over modern warfare with no experience whilst infinty ward try to aim the franchise in a different direction with a MMO!

I think it's a very foolish move from IW. But than again even if they do, it could bring something new to the table.

Yeah, CoD is the only game they've ever done as a studio. I'm sure they're ready to get out and do something different.

Sounds bull to me, though if it did happen, I would not even think of buying it.

All I know is COD4's online portion is broken to high hell and they just "copy & paste" it for two more releases. Screw IW as far as I'm concered...

Personally I wouldn't mind if Infinity ward created something that addressed all the needs that gamers wanted from their games eg. longer campaign.

Generally produce a Game that Blew the era of call of duty into the pentioners toilet lol. atm the only game i could think of that would be able to do that is, Dare i say Duke Nukem forever? lol Nah.
