will it be good you think, ca't decide if I should buy when it comes out, or just skip this one. i dont knwo how scary it will be. I am getting Dead Space.
I am getting silent hill: homecoming, for me this looks amazing .While yes there has been elements taken from the film (which i loved) with the decent into the hell part of SH, PH and how the nurses move it makes it seem more seemless.
In Regards of Deadspace i am also looking forward to that from seeing the videos of it in action it looks damn scary however anything with hints of Alien, Event Horizion, and The Thing (three of my favorite Sci Fi Horror films) is great for me
this game will look good but ive never been a fan, i used to have 2 SH games previously, never got into it.
however hands down to deadspace. Event Horizon all the way!

Also you could agrue that it has elements from sunshine as well if you wanted to. However both are going to be brilliant to bridge the span of the wait for PROTOTYPE and Resident Evil 5
In my opinion the first one for the original PlayStation was the best one. Every silent hill i have played after that has left me disappointed, i completely avoided the fourth one because of that. I am sitting on the fence with this one I wont know if i should get it or not until it comes out and i can see some gameplay and some reviews.
It looks AMAZING! And yes it does look really scary according to GameSpot and IGN hands-on. Plus, they even mentioned there are plenty of puzzles in the game and some would drive you crazy in order to solve them and THAT's what I like man specially it's a horror!!!! MAN come 30th of september already!
Been saying this from the second the first trailer was released this is going to be a a good game and also with the first cut scene released on GS yesterday it has just confirmed my feeling. Also with the puzzles as well that sounds really intresting, if they are going to drive people crazy :lol:

I Total agree, second SH was playable. but it looked like the first silent hill but from other perspective. And I didn't like Silent Hill anymore because every game looks a lot the same, SH4 tried something different, but failed. If it's exact same game I won't buy it, if it tries something new and it will be done quite good, then I'll think about it
After a few sub par efforts (The Room and Origins. They weren't bad games, they just weren't up to the quality set by SH 1-3), I'm hoping Homecoming will be the kick up the arse the series needs. The game looks creepy, the gameplay has had some cool modifications (real time Otherworld shifts in particular should mix thinks up a bit) and the story is really starting to interest me. I've already pre-ordered it :).
I'll rent it at the most. Silent Hill 2 was the beggining of an end for them. Silent Hill 2 was great but after that it began to all go down hill.DabsTight703

SH5 atmostphere dosnt look scary at all compared to SH2 and SH3. Just go back and look at the old screen shots. They look more creepy than part 5.
looks good, and they did update the combat system. then again its not suppose to be a combat game, plus with the PS3 the monsters(demons or whatever) should look good as well. i'm just hoping for the same feel as the first and second games.
my favorite was silent hill 3. I liked 2 also. I did not like SH4 or the PSP one. So after two disappointments in a row I'm a little iffy about Homecoming. I'm really hoping it doesn't dissappoint too.
