I'm trying to decide on wether i should buy a 40gb or 80gb ps3 but i can't decide. The 40 gb is less expensive and uses less power. I don't care about the backwards compatibility but the 40 gb does have 2 usb ports instead of 4. I don't if would need4 usb ports witch is why Iwould like to know what you use your usb ports for.
USB keyboard and mouse, charge my ipod, my remote, i always have my extra controller charging, and soon to be the playstation eye, and yes if rock band uses it.
USB is really important, they are used to charge the controllers and set them in the beginning, Keyboard, mouse, headset, PSP, IPOD, camera, New Eye toy, Rockband, and a bunch of other stuff all require them.
I have a 60 gig and I have a 320 gb my book drive, wireless keyboard always hooked up to mu usb with one free for quick jumpdrive plug ins and another one always with a cable to charge my controllers 1 at a time when I'm using them.
