What Features Would You Like To See On PSN?

Sony has stated that their going to be making some changes to PSN, and adding some features. So what would you like to see?

There's one that I want that really annoys me. When I get a message while playing a game, if I hit the middle button on my controller, I then have to go through the menu, find messages, click on received, then click on the message. Which is a real pain while playing games online. On Xbox Live when you get a message, you click the middle button and it opens up the message. I would like to see that implementedto PSN.

Also I would like to see a party chat system like Xbox live. So all my friends and be in the same chat room, while all playing different games. Or so you can talk to people while not in a game, and trying to get in the same game for example.

• Same as you, the message thing.
• Ability to change our ID names
• Cut out unusable icons from in game XMB to make it load faster.
• Arrange trophies in a grid-like fashion so they're all on screen not in a long list.
• Some sort of tracker for cumulative trophies (eg, "Eat 1200 pies", "kill 50 homeless people" etc)
• Delete trophies from trials or games with 0%
• Faster firmware updates or do away with installs after downloads
• And of course, for PSN itself to be up would be just swell.

• Ability to change PSN IDs
• Trophytrackers that show you how far you are with obtaining that trophy

PSX IMPORTS, ala Itunes. I understand they have Psone Classics available, but the ability to import all my old psone games unto the harddrive would be pretty sweet. It would also be a huge selling point for the NGP, if it had a "games/music/movies" interface with the ps3.

In game video chat and cross game chat would be great. But if I were a + member, I'd be pissed were those to be available to everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony just gives everyone 3 free months of +, which I wouldn't be even the slightest bit interested in.donalbane

*Ability to re-order and hide XMB icons.

*Customizable avatar and gamer card (color change is weak).

*Ability to appear offline when signed into PSN. I have no idea why the hell we can't do that.

*Cross game chat, but no pressure for it.

*Some type of filter for game invites to block people from inviting you to join a match in something you're not playing.

*A better web browser.

*More music player backgrounds, willing to pay for that ****.

I know alot of that stuff isn't necessarily PSN related but I want it in some updates soon.

i honestly dont understand about the whole message thing lol, i mean is it that hard to highlight the message inbox when ur in a game so when u press the psn button ur by the inbox already? it aint like u can do much with in-game xmb besides listen to music and check ur messages, right? and it aint that hard to find lol, but i guess i see what ur talkin about but i honestly dont care for it if they added that or not. the only thing i care about at the moment is to give us more option to use while in-game and using the xmb without it kicking u off the game and going to that option u chose.JoKeR_421

^^^^THIS. I hate when someone keeps sending me invites when I don't want to play with them. This feature would be awesome. Another one XBL has that the PSN doesn't. Thats why people with the 360 so much more, because It has so many different features that the PSN doesn't, and there worth paying for.

When you get a trophy it pops up on your freinds screen like a message.I want to show off!!!!

• A notification system, kind of like facebook, which is if you don't realise a message there might be a red token on the message symbol in the XMB telling you

Ability to delete games from the trophy section if they are have 5% or less trophies achieved

Quick message viewing, I have trouble reading my inbox while I'm playing zombies.

Seriously, why? Honestly, since this feature was added to Live, it has only hindered the actual gameplay communication. Everyone will have a mic, but they won't be talking within the given game.

Also a big NO to the people wanting the "invisible" online option. I like seeing when friends of mine are ALWAYS on so I can tease them.
