Im addicted to Portal 2 and AC: Brotherhood atm. Been playen them both non-stop with the outage. lol
MORTAL KOMBAT!
Yea, it actually kinda sucks I ended up falling in love with this game. I really wanna go online and "test my might" against other players :P
Anyways, I haven't been this into a fighting game for years and I haven't played a MK game since Armageddon.
I was addicted to Heavy Rain (completed my first playthrough in three days) but I'm not really addicted to anything atm.
Motorstorm Apocalypse has been inducing some great addictiviness in our house for a month already and still continues to do so =) Also while psn is down I got my hands on Valkyria Chronicles and been loving it so far (I saw something about VC 2 somewhere but is that just for psp?).
serious? i thought the wii was dead, but i guess i cant talk, atleast they can play online at the moment lol!No game just the Wii console as a whole.

Final Fantasy XIII. I put it down for about 4 months but now I'm back into it and trying to max out all of my characters.
Fallout as Always.Tetrarch9
Which one?
The last game I got really addicted to was Fallout 3 and before that San Andreas. I guess it's rare that I find a game that's as addicting as a really good book.
Fallout 3. Ive got it a week ago and have played about 20 hours. I have done about half of the quests and i still have to collect the bobbleheads and kill the supermutant behemoths.
There are very few games nowadays that have that effect on me as well. There's a few games you can try: World of Goo (wii/pc), Modern Warfare 2 (you're a bit late to the party, but the competitive and coop multiplayer in that game is leaps and bounds better than Black ops - play it with a friend!), Lumines (somewhat, if you're looking into being "immersed", this well do it - it WILL put you in a trance), Batman:AA, and Red Dead Redemption. These are the games that immersed me the most this gen (not including the first modern warfware). I would also add Bioshock in there too, great world/story, and immersive too, just not as addicting as the others!

The Wii is a VERY good console! It just has a lack of 3rd party games that are actually good. Mario Galaxy 2 and World of goo are one the of the best games this gen for me - I'm a very jaded gamer, and I'm very unbiased (I love ALL 3 consoles and their exclusives, even though I only own a PS3 and Wii), and I can say that the quality of first party Nintendo products is still untouchable and more GENIUNELY fun when compared to the 360 and PS3 games (there's no trophies or addictive online multiplayer to get you hooked when you're playing a good wii game - you play it b/c it's fun, nothing else). Anyone who really disagrees with me is either a fanboy of their respective console, or is very close-minded (ie: won't touch a wii game just b/c it has the "kiddy" mark), or both. Anyone who's in my position is a relatively happy gamer :) although I say relatively just b/c once you have a good view of all consoles, you'll see that 360 and PS3 games are dominated by shooters just b/c consumers buy them - that means the only reason why companies are making shooters is just b/c it's profitable - and people buy the same s*** all over again just b/c...well I dunno why, maybe b/c of the hype and/or advertisements get to them.
Anyway there's my rant...
