What game to start off with?

I'm planing on buying the 40GB PS3 tomorrow and was wondering what a good game to start off with would be(Can probably only afford 1 game until next paycheck)? The games I am interested in are Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Resistence, and I guess UT3 comes out soon. Now, these are just the games I know/can think of so anything else in the same vein would work as well, not just restricted to one of those games.

Basically though, what I look for in a game is strong/fun single player that isn't over too quick and has some replayability. Also, good multiplayer is a definate bonus. As far as what game genres I enjoy more go, I like them all the same assuming it is a good game from said genre. I'm new to the sony franchise, so I can't rely on past gaming experiences since I have little with sony exclusive games so any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, I found conflicting answers to this but was wondering does PS3 come with component/HDMI cables? If not, are they pricey?

P.S. I have a 360, so I already have most of the good cross-platform games such as CoD4.

Did you get Assassins Creed for 360? You could consider getting it for PS3.. since you have a job n all, it should last you awhile. I personally like it for the awesomes and just carefree running around climbing the buildings. I dunno if you'd like that kinda thing or you're more into big action with explosions, bullets flying everywhere and whatnot.

There's really not much good PS3 exclusives for this year... but I wouldn't recommend a fps game.. I find them all to be pretty much the same with no real store to them..
