Pritty much the title, the best game that has a sniper or more for sound, feel, reload, strength ect whatever You can think of! Thanks! ( I love sniper rifles )
best experience I've had with a sniper (or any weapon for that matter) was Return To Castle Wolfenstein.....that game was epic....especially the Sten...but still the sniper rifles were pretty awesome most notably when you're sniping soldiers as they drop down in paratutes....
Bah CoD4 overall sucks! Only good thing is the campagin because online sucks real bad!

If you're looking to snipe in COD4, you're going to want to play Hardcore mode which removes the HUD and requires less damage to kill someone. So sniping will usually be a one shot kill affair. Sniping outside of hardcore matches requires either a headshot or consecutive body shots, making it far more difficult.
bf bc you can actually play the role of a sniper in that game cuz no kill cam and they do sound real so i go with bf bcnjean777
i agree the sound on bf bc was great, they had some HDR sound (high dynamic range) so you could hear the echo off the hills, etc. cod4 was good but ive played it enough and now its old.
MGS4 is great for sniping. Several dedicated sniper rifles (everything from the Mosin Nagrant, firing anasthetic rounds, to the M14EBR, to the M82 .50 cal), not to mention that you can put a scope on nearly any rifle in the game. There are over 70 weapons total (about 5-6 are dedicated sniper rifles, and several more are able to be used as one) and each gun has it's own look, 'feel' (rate of fire, recoil, power, etc.), and sound. People act like uncompressed audio is nothig important, but the audio in MGS4 is epic win compared to any other game around. Add in a camo-suit + slow-crawling from sniping point to sniping point and you end up with a game that is a sniper nut's dream.
Wrahawk for me. The sound is great, the reloading is cool and i like how the crosshair is TINY and the scope is really lengthy but when you hit someone they die instantly. Getting into a sniper war on warhawk is so intense.
At first i hated it though, i thought the zoom was rubbish but when you kill someone you really feel inspired to keep it up!
well for me Sniper Elite would be the best sniper game cause you're pretty much a sniper throughout the game, amazing realism to it too. it's for the ps2 so graphics won't be like mgs 4 or cod 4. not sure if you have BC in your ps3 so sorry if you don't =/. from what i notice this game isn't sold in stores anymore, you'll have to order it.
COD4 red tiger M40 wit the ACOG 1 shot 1 kill. I hate the M14 on MGS4 its a semi auto sniper it only cost 750 while the assault rifles cost 1000-4000 drebin points with out attachments, I wouldn't have such a problem with the gun if they made it cost more because it does own I used it once and I was unstoppable from short or long range and it has good power and sniper was not even one of my skills.
MGO (MGS4) - There's a difference but MGS4 includes the online mode for MGO. It has pretty good sniper-like features, but not entirely accurate. I have to call sniper elite the best sniper game ever with gravity drop, wind deflection, heart rate, posture etc etc. The only thing about it was the maps had to be small and the gravity drop would be a little overexhorbant (too much drop for too little a distance).
For the PS3, I would say Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is the closest you can get to a genuine sniping experience (unless you prefer killzone 2 which is just awesome - not related) The distance, bullet drop are pretty accurate and I'm not sure about the wind though. One of the missions in RE5 had wind deflection and the maps weren't big enough to gauge bullet drop so I can't say anything there, but if you ever get OFDR hit me up!
Actually I liked far cry 2 . Just the enemies starting to look around, not finding anything while you sniped them from afar . I found the game an incredible sniper paradise .
