My most recent purchases are:
Crysis DL
AC2 deluxe DL with add-ons
and Zuma for my casual fix.
Next will be:
Skyrim
Dark Souls.
I really wish all games had a direct DL option.
Maybe PS4 will allow this. Seriously prolongs the life of the BR drive & performs a little bit better to boot.

the problem with downloads is the speed of the DL and the service provider itself. I know I downloaded Crysis and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and PoP took forever and Crysis was only like 40 minutes. Comcast is very inconsistent with their service, and I've even noticed that with just using the internet. Granted, now that it's all on my HDD I have no problem with it. Though, I do like having physical copies of games.
As an aside, if my ps3 was to die would I be able to download these games again if I'm logged in with the same account?
For sure. They stay linked to your account and that is one of the very reasons I like DL so much. I think they can be re-downloaded up to 5 times??
I too like the idea of physical copies but once I discovered the ease of DL I kind of got over it, although I do miiss the manuals & swanky artwork associated with boxed games.
I feel your pain with the DL speeds though. My ISP is very stable but it's a stable 7mg. Crysis was just shy of 4gigs so it wasn't too bad. ACII on the other hand was 6.7 plus an additional 2.5 for the DLC. I set up the DL just before going to bed & it had just finished when I woke up several hours later.
