You DO know the implication of your post is that there is not one single reason to own a PS3 at this moment, right? As in, he asked what games make the system worth the purchase, and your evidence is entirely games you hope will be good, but not one of which is on the market... Come on man, I don't have a PS3 but it deserves more credit then a list of dated and undated games, many of which we know nothing about at all. There are a couple of good games that exist NOW, talk about those.

To me, Resistance, MGS 4, and FFXIII.

True, so the games I am looking forward to is Socom Confrontation, and MGS4. His major problem is hardware issues, so maybe the question should be is the ps3 better with hardware. My list shows all the games that he can play on the ps3 without all the hardwre issues that the 360 has.

Yeah, basically I'm looking for games that are either out now, or are going to be out in July.

Right now, resistance, motorstorm, and oblivion just isn't enough. Maybe I'll wait until E3 to decide.

At the moment, the way to go is 360. I'm not denying the great games coming on the PS3 but as of now, Resistance is the only big reason for a PS3. Some will say Motorstorm but i see it as a rent tops (DiRT is coming out tomorrow). The other games are all mutliplatform.

i own both. save yourself a nightmare. dont buy a ps3 until sept of 2008. get an elite, you thank me later.

if you got this system today, get resistance its agreat game to keep you busy. then get ninga gaiden sigma ina few weeks, then get lair, heavenly sword, warhawk, gta, haze, home, MGS4, FFXIII. along with others

Anyways, TC, you have too look at the future selection of games, that's the only way to know if it's worth it.

right now it's really onlyR:FOM, Oblivion, Motorstorm. But the future games will be great, i mean you have to be realistic, some might suck, most will be great, and a few will be AAAs.

The future games look more diverse and interesting than the 360s, i guess that's a good reason to get that PS3 afterall.

And it might not be a bad idea to wait until the good games games are actually released. I personally wouldn't have one right now if I didn't get it as a gift, I had already decided I was gonna wait til the kick ass games come out. Now that I have one all I play is Resistance online and PS2 games... :( Still it's only a matter of time before PS3 gets up to speed, it's all about the games!!!!!jasemac

well then read what we are posting, resistance is an AWESOME game, and from now till winter the ps3 is getting 2-3 aa-aaa games a month

Uhh no it doesn't. all the colors look really washed out and xbox has DC. Slightly shorter load times don't make a game better.

Even Gamespot, who many of us think are a bit down on the PS3, say Oblivion has better texture handling on the PS3. Also, I own Oblivion and on my television, it's no where near as washed out as they had it. I think they turned the in game brightness up for some reason. I've also owned it on the PC and well...it just looks best on the PC but second to that would be the PS3.

As for games that are out now: Motor Storm, Resistance, Oblivion, Fight Night Round 3, Need For Speed, and a few of the downloadable games are really cool on the system. Anyone who wants to say that three of these games are on the 360 are waisting their breath, as that has NOTHING to do with the question asked. All the guy/gal wanted to know was what games we thought made the system worth it.
