My two nephews are 8 and 10, and my neice is 13. I was thinking about getting them Oblivion as its a great game and relatively cheap, and shouldn't be too complex for them (the eight year old is actually the best out of all of them at video games). But I don't know if my neice would like it, she likes videogames but I think prefers FPS... But their parents won't let them play anything too violent. Also, would LBP be too complicated for them? I only own a 360/PC so I'm not familiar with PS3 only titles.
LBP isn't that complicated unless they plan on making their own levels and even then, experimentation will deal with that.
Hmmm, for the one that enjoys FPS, I'd go with Resistance 2. Visually, it doesn't come off as a much of a violent game as say CoD: World At War with its realistic graphic style. It's the best bet you have as far as FPS go.
You shouldn't feel bad for these kids, they have tons of stuff... I on the otherhand am currently in college and live in a 1 bedroom apt lol, so unfortunately I cannot buy them stuff as often as I'de like to. So LBP seems to be the consensus, I suppose I'll get them that. Thanks for the input all
