what good ideas do you have for the next update?

i have a few

1) they should let you download stuff while you watch a movie, it signs you out off PSN because they dont want the pop ups to get in the way of the movie. it needs to be fixed.

2) access the xmb during a game. i think its comming in the next update but we will see

3) the ability to take screen shots while playing ur fav game, that would be sweet.

4) better friend orginization, its bad and having a limit of 100 is kind of weak.

another good one would be differant skins, so the xmb could be dif colors depending on ur backround

and also to set ur wallpaper to a slide show would be pretty cool

I think it shuts down the XMB to allow full memory for the movie, not because of the pop-ups because you can disable those. Regardless, I agree.

Sony has stated that they are working on it, and it seems like something that everyone wants. If done correctly, this should allow for cross-game messaging and voice chat, in-game music, ability to reconnect your headset without shutting off the game (Vegas online anybody? lol), and even the ability to open up the browser and view a walkthrough without ever leaving the game (this one might be the hardest for them to accomplish).

Some sports games are already building that feature into their games (in NCAA 08 you can take pictures and video highlights and upload them to the web), but something from Sony to do it on any game would be sweet.

Agree completely especially because the limit is 50, not 100. I know this because I've had to delete people from my friends list multiple times to make room for friends of the game I'm currently playing. Makes me wish either more games had in-game friends lists or that they increase the number of friends we can have.

I've had this idea for a while but I'm not sure if its even possible. Right now it shows you what game your friend is currently playing right. But wouldn't it be pretty cool if there was an option called View Friends Game or something where when you select it, it streams whatever is on his screen to your screen so you can watch them play?

Now when people say, yea I beat that level in like 2 minutes you can ask them to do it again and watch them. And with in-game XMB you could heckle them as they keep sucking. lol

Maybe in the future.

that's one of the best ideas i've heard about update suggestions.

i would also like the ability to use the ps3 as a HDD recorder to record myself playing a game or some tv shows.

Here's my list:

1. In-game XMB

2. Music in-game

3. Friend List Reorganization

4. AVI File Support

5. More RAM accessible in the Web Browser

6. Different Theme Colors like PSP

7. The Ability to have the XMB Wave and a Wallpaper at Once

8. Accessing the XMB while in a BD or DVD Movie

Yes, I know it's a lot but after all, it is the big 2.0.
