What happened to MK9 online?!?!

Recently picked this game up again but the online is dead... what the h3ll?

There were literally ZERO players in the official rooms

Am I missing something?

Last time I played (4 months ago) there were around 6-7 offical rooms with usually 90+ players in each

Today... only 3 official rooms and not one person in any of them

Why? This game is far from bad that no one would be playing... I don't get it

I really like this Mortal Kombat game. I hated the ps2 ones, but this one really redeemed itself. It's sad to see it going downhill.

But, if things don't pick up online buy King of Fighters 13. It's a really good game.

last time i played was a month ago and there were TONS of people online. Even gamefaqs has its own little niche group.

Maybe it crashed because of a sudden surge of new players who picked up the Komplete Edition. I would expect a spike in interest because of the KE, not a decline, and certainly not death.

The online was always kind of dead. Nothing but Scorpion/Sub-Zero/Raiden/Kung Lao users. I ended up selling my copy because nobody would play any different characters.

dont know about the new komplete edition but yes the first original version required online pass.

i said doesn't, as in currently does not. They did away with the online pass stuff (it was there at launch, yes i know).

I guess they all finally graduated and moved on to Street Fighter ;)
