I think besides some the technical issues, a lot of people weren't ready for the whole social networking thingy, but now I think it would be a perfect time to bring it back because social media is the norm now.

i thought it was a little creepy to honest and rarely used it at all. it's also quite sad that social media is the norm as i detest it and hate it with a passion. not because it can get you get touch with certain people from your past as an example i'm okay with that. just the fact that there's a LOT of idiots who do the dumbest things on it. i actually refuse to use it but than to each their own ya know?

It was kinda cool as someone in my late teens. Me and my friends would log in and just troll poeople but then you grow up and it looks boring.

It could work if integrated with Fb or Twitter.

i dont think they could make any money out of it and its use as a promotional tool for games was limited. they tried selling clothes and furniture for your appartment and stuff in the game but i dont think it ever took off on that front. so they shut it down. i would imagine making and maintaining it was not cheap.

it was an interesting idea. originally (as the story goes) home was actually supposed to be the front end for the PS3. the XMB was just a place holder from the PSP while they got it working. the idea was that you would go to different places in home to use different functionality. boot up games while at your appartment. discuss games with people at a cafe/bar. shop for games in a virtual mall. play mini games in the home world while chatting away. stuff like that. interesting but probably not very practical.

It was overpriced madness. DLC for a t-shirt was like $10 lol.
