So a friend and myself both have a 60 GB PS3. The other day, we were talking about what would happen if our systems broke down and needed to be replaced or repaired by Sony. Would Sony have the parts to repair our now phased out systems or would they replace them with a less capable newer model? We came to the conclusion that we would rather have a broken (and backward compatible) PS3 than a working newer version. This reasoning came from the thought that surely SOMEONE out there would be able to fix our BC systems. Any thoughts? Does anyone know if Sony would fix the older model or just send us a newer model to replace it?
Cool, sounds good. I ask because I am constantly using the PS3 to watch movies, which they say is kinda bad for a game console. So we got curious what would happen if it broke...Thanks fellas.
I just sent my 60 gb away in the mail(May 22nd) for GTA4 problems. I hope they give me the same system back, although they said they were going to replace it. I'll update anybody on what I get back.
