Ok, lets say I dont have a receipt (I dont) and then my PS3 breaks. Will SONY take it back? My friends waited in line at launch so they can buy 3 PS3's and put them on eBay. He gave me a 20GB for flatout $500 and never gave me a receipt. He now moved and he cant find the receipt. Will I be totally screwed?
unfortunately this happened to me...and you DO need the recepit for the to take it back otherwise youll have to pay $150..at least that was the amount they demanded back then.....so i dunno if they changed the rules,,,,but about 6 months ago it was no receipt-no free repair
