Can't speak for others, but I have an LCD tv and it's great, good color etc, but my parents DLP they have is better than mine. They are relatively similar in price and feature but the ranges are better and refreshes are better, or so it seems.

couple questions. How big is the room you're going to be putting it in? How much space do you have to set it on (or hang)? If you have a small room 15X10 or the like then a LCD would be a nice one, they are good price and have no burn in. If you have a bit more room or want a bigger TV I would prolly go with a Rear Projection or DLP. DLP first if you can afford it. DLP also has vertually no burn in, and the rear LCD (newer ones) also have very little. (or none, like the SXRD) Hope that's helpful.

I was going to get DLP because of how big the screen can be butafter doing some online research I learn that LCDs are great for high def gaming. The Ninja Gaiden Sigma looked so sick on the LCD. So just aslong there's a hdmi connected to the tv you're getting, then you're good. 1080p rocks. Here, I'll give you a link about buying hdtv's from gamespots' parent company cnet.com

I'd get a lcd. Rear projection tvs all require bulbs that need to be replaced every few thousand hours. I'd rather not deal with that.

best bang for the buck is rear projection. you get a big t.v. with an awsome pictrure. I have a sony sxrd 1080p 60". It has a better picture than my 32" lcd aquos, not just better much better. There's vary little blur compared to lcds.

also some lcd's don't have very dark blacks. I had a rear projection lcd from sony and it was beautiful except for the blacks.

Rear projections are the cheapest and they have the best black levels. The only reason the others are so popular is because they are so thin.

Toshiba 65h85C. I'm writing this message with my Wii...Awesome browser, blazing fast. Anyways, get a flat panel lcd. Good black levels, crystal clear resolution, and it won't weigh a ton like my monster.
